Lebanon City Police and the Lebanon County Coroner’s office have identified the victim of a Nov. 13 homicide in Lebanon as 39-year-old Elliot Thomas.

An autopsy performed Monday, Nov. 15, showed that Thomas, of Minersville, died of a single gunshot wound, according to a statement from Police Chief Todd Breiner.

In the release, police also announced that a 19-year-old York man, identified as Jason Mahecha, has been charged with homicide and carrying an unlicensed firearm. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

As of publication time, Mahecha was still on the lam.

Police were dispatched to the area of N. Seventh & Willow streets at 1:14 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, for a report of a gunshot fired and a victim on the sidewalk. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene.
