Good Friday morning!

Today will be a relatively nice day, as morning cloud cover gives way to increasing sunshine as we progress into the afternoon. Temps will be on the mild side as we make a run into the low 50’s across the region.

Saturday we will be looking to set a record for warm temperatures!

Despite a mostly cloudy morning and afternoon, temps are going to rapidly spike as we progress into the late afternoon/early evening hours as warm air out of the south floods into our region. Temps are going to rebound rapidly into the mid to upper 60’s right before a very powerful cold front then enters the area!

Sometime after 5 p.m. and before 9 p.m. we will have a wall of wind rapidly develop and sustain itself in the 30-40 mph rage with gusts near 50 mph at times! Along with this wind, comes a steady rain as the cold front pushes overhead. A few rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out, but aren’t that likely either.

A RAPID temp drop then takes place as we CRASH into the lower 30’s overnight!

Sunday will remain breezy early with calming winds by the afternoon hours. Temps will top out in the mid 40’s under mostly sunny skies.
