Terroristic Threats, Firearm Violations, Harassment, Simple Assault – On Dec. 23, 2021 at 10:55 p.m., troopers were dispatched to an inactive domestic at Austin Dr. in East Hanover Twp. Upon arrival, troopers made contact with the Victim who related that at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Arrestee, Darin Mack, W/N/M-55 from Lebanon City, came to the home uninvited. As the Victim let the Arrestee into the home, the Arrestee was carrying a loaded AR-15 rifle. The Arrestee related to the Victim that the gun was loaded during the interaction. After being let into the home, the Arrestee placed the AR-15 rifle on the living room couch with the barrel facing toward the ceiling. During the course of the conversation, the Arrestee became very irate. He made numerous statements including: “I’m not afraid of taking out my own child” and “I’m going to pick him off with my gun because I have a lot of ammo in my car and house.” He also related, “If anyone comes to my house, I’m going to off them without warning.” He then told the Victim: If you don’t start saying no to a certain person, I’m going to shoot you as well. The Victim remembered passing out in the living room due to fear. The Arrestee then fled the scene to the 200 block of South 5th St. in Lebanon. Dauphin County ADA Amy Russo approved charges for Firearms Violations, Harassment, Simple Assault, and Terroristic Threats. PSP SERT was activated. The Arrestee was hailed out of the residence and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Harrisburg Station for questioning, then transported to the Dauphin County Judicial Center for processing and arraignment.
Myerstown Borough
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 22, 2021 at 5:43 p.m., this three-vehicle crash occurred on SR 422 Westbound. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2007 Acura MDX, driven by Operator 2, a 38 year old Womelsdorf woman, and Unit 3, a 2008 Nissan Altima, driven by Operator 3, a 64 year old Myerstown woman, were stopped at the red light, east of the intersection of SR 422 Westbound and North Locust St. Unit 1, a 2019 Subaru XV Crosstrek, driven by Operator 1, a 38 year old Cleona man, struck the rear-end of Unit 2, causing Unit 2 to bump into Unit 3. Unit 1 sustained disabling front-end damage as a result of this crash. Unit 2 sustained minor front- and rear-end damage as a result of this crash. Unit 3 sustained minor rear-end damage as a result of this crash. Operator 1, Operator 2, and Operator 3 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 3 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 was evaluated on scene by Myerstown Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for a suspected minor head injury as a result of this crash but refused medical transport. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.
North Cornwall Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 23, 2021 at 11:49 a.m., this crash occurred on the 1500 block of Quentin Rd. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 34 year old Lebanon resident, was exiting the parking lot of Starbucks to enter SR 72. Operator 1 failed to see Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 62 year old Womelsdorf resident, traveling southbound on SR 72. Unit 1 subsequently collided with Unit 2. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 and Unit 2 sustained minor damage as a result of this crash.
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 23, 2021 at 4:25 p.m., this crash occurred on Isabel Dr. at Quentin Rd. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 50 year old Lebanon resident, was traveling south on Quentin Rd. and turned left onto Isabel Dr. Unit 1 subsequently hit Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 73 year old Elizabethtown resident. Operator 1 stated that a red truck, which was attempting to make a right turn onto Quentin Rd., was blocking her view of Unit 2. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 and Unit 2 sustained minor damage as a result of this crash.
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 23, 2021 at 9:49 p.m., this crash occurred on the 2400 block of Cumberland St. at Wendy’s Hamburgers in the drive-thru line. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 24 year old Palmyra resident, backed into Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a Lebanon male juvenile. It was a minor accident. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash.
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 24, 2021 at 3:38 p.m., this crash occurred on Cornwall Rd. in the area of Norman Dr. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 59 year old Lebanon woman, struck a utility pole. Operator 1 was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol to the Hershey Medical Center for a suspected head and neck injury as a result of this crash. Unit 1 sustained severe damage to the passenger’s side as well as minor front-end damage. No airbags were deployed in the crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene. There is no update on Operator 1 at the time of this release.
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 25, 2021 at 8:41 p.m., this crash occurred on Tudor Ln. at Dawson St. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 30 year old York woman, was traveling south when a “silver vehicle” traveling north turned in front of Unit 1, causing Unit 1 to run off the road, strike a rock, and become disabled. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene.
Richland Borough
Burglary Residential Force – On Dec. 26, 2021 at 9:15 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to South Park St. for a report of a window being broken on a detached outbuilding (garage) located on the above-listed property. Investigation revealed that an unknown Actor(s), suspected to be juveniles, gained entrance into the outbuilding via breaking a window and opening the garage. PSP Jonestown is investigating. The Victim was a 60 year old Richland woman.
Swatara Township
Theft – On Nov. 26, 2021 at 10:47 a.m., troopers responded to Old Route 22 for a report of the Victim’s Google and Steam account being hacked by an unknown Actor. The unknown Actor made several purchases, subsequently causing the Victim to be out a loss of $100.00. Troopers are investigating. The Victim was a 24 year old Swatara Twp. man.
West Cornwall Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 17, 2021 at 5:08 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 322 East just west of Butler Rd. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 39 year old Schaefferstown man, was traveling east on SR 322, when it struck the back end of Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 35 year old Grantville woman, which then struck the back end of Unit 3, driven by Operator 3, a 62 year old Lebanon man. Unit 1, Unit 2, and Unit 3 were towed from the scene.
