Bethel Township

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On Dec. 13, 2021 at 12:47 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Greble Rd. for a report of a criminal mischief. Troopers arrived on scene and observed the Victim’s vehicle with minor damage from an unknown Actor(s) who was attempting to break in. Troopers are investigating. The Victim was a 25 year old Myerstown woman. The vehicles involved included a 2016 Dodge Dart.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 1, 2022 at 4:06 p.m., this single-vehicle reportable crash occurred on I 81 South near mile marker 84.9 in East Hanover Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, driven by Operator 1, a 32 year old York man, was traveling in the left lane, going too fast for current conditions, when it crossed over the fog into the median, subsequently hitting the divider. Initial impact occurred as the front left bumper of Unit 1 hit the divider in the median. Unit 1 came to final rest, facing west in the left lane of travel. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage which required towing. Operator 1 was cited with Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked.

DUI Crash – On Dec. 31, 2021 at 3:46 p.m., the Arrestee, Lauren Anderson, was arrested on the 800 block of I 81 South by PSP for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 31, 2021 at 11:45 a.m., this crash occurred in the 1500 block of Quentin Rd. at the Starbucks parking lot. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 17 year old Lebanon juvenile, was backing out of a parking space and struck the rear driver’s side panel of Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 24 year old Lebanon woman. Unit 1 and Unit 2 sustained minor damage as a result of this crash. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash.

Disorderly Conduct – On Jan. 1, 2022 at 1:00 a.m., this incident occurred on Varney Alley near Federal St. as the Arrestee, a 25 year old Lebanon man, was cited for Disorderly Conduct after he ignited several rounds of explosives in an unsafe environment.

Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 1, 2022 at 10:13 a.m., this crash occurred on Rocherty Rd. and Colebrook Rd. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 34 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south on Colebrook Rd., failed to yield, and struck the curb that surrounds the elevated bed of rocks in the center of the roundabout and where the vehicle was stuck. Unit 1 sustained front-end damage and both front airbags were deployed as a result of this crash. Unit 1 required towing. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash.

PFA Violation – On Jan. 3, 2022 at 9:33 a.m., this incident occurred on Northwood Crt. as the Arrestee, Kenneth Angstadt, a 43 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Violation of Protection from Abuse (PFA). The Arrestee sent 12 cell phone text messages to the Victim, a female, after the PFA was served to him by the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Office.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – On Jan. 1, 2022 at 9:21 p.m., this crash occurred in the 600 block of Campbelltown Rd. in Palmyra. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 47 year old Middletown man, left the roadway at the above-listed location and struck a utility pole. Operator 1 was transported via EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for injuries sustained as a result of this crash. Investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 28, 2021 at 3:48 p.m., this crash occurred on the 00 block of August Dr. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2021 Nissan Rogue, driven by Operator 1, a 34 year old Harrisburg man, lost control in the 700 block of Plaza Dr. and struck a fence. Operator 1 was observed fleeing the scene in Unit 1, failing to make contact with the homeowner or police. Operator 1 was cited with Accidents Involving Damage to Unattended Vehicle/Property and Careless Driving. Citations are filed with DJ Garver’s Office.

Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 31, 2021 at 9:29 a.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of SR 422 and Walmart Dr. This crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 52 year old St. Lucie, FL woman, slid while approaching the traffic light, rear-ending Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 55 year old Jonestown woman. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. Unit 1 required towing due to damage sustained in the crash. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.

Vehicle Accident, DUI – On Dec. 22, 2021 at 12:07 a.m., this crash occurred on the 400 block of Campbelltown Rd. Operator 1, Zachary Granath, a 37 year old Granbury, TX resident, was arrested for DUI stemming from a vehicle accident that occurred at the above-listed location. Unit 1 was traveling south on Campbelltown Rd. when it left the roadway, striking a utility pole. Unit 1 required towing due to damage sustained in the crash.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 31, 2021 at 10:36 p.m., this crash occurred on North Lancaster St. at the intersection of Mowery Rd. in Swatara Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2002 Honda Civic, driven by Operator 1, a 20 year old Lebanon man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 20 year old Fredericksburg man, was traveling south on North Lancaster St. and failed to negotiate a righthand turn. Unit 1 hit an embankment and was disabled as a result. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained minor injuries as a result of this crash but was not transported. Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 31, 2021 at 3:46 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2008 Mazda Mazda 3, driven by Operator 1, Lauren Anderson, a 37 year old Rahway, NJ woman, and Unit 2, a 2018 Kia Optima, driven by Operator 2, an 18 year old Hatfield woman, were traveling south on I 81 near mile marker 87. During this crash, Unit 1 was traveling in the left lane and Unit 2 was traveling in the right lane. Unit 1 failed to maintain its lane, traveling across the center dotted line. Unit 1’s 1 o’clock position then struck Unit 2’s 9 o’clock position. This was both Unit 1’s and Unit 2’s points of initial impact. Unit 1 then veered to the left shoulder of the road. Unit 2 veered to the right shoulder of the road. This would be both Unit 1’s and Unit 2’s positions of final rest. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. No medical attention was required. Unit 2 required towing due to damage sustained in the crash. Operator 1 was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Controlled Substance-Highest Rate of Alcohol.
