A series of rehabilitation projects for concrete arch culverts along Route 22 in Lebanon County begins next week, starting with a section of road on Yingst Drive in Union Township.
First up is a section of road that bridges “Kevin’s Run” on Yingst Drive in Union Township.
PennDOT said in a release that the project will consist of rehabilitating the existing concrete arch culvert with a corrugated structural aluminum arch plate liner and minor roadway work.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, Feb. 28, contingent on weather. There is expected to be no impact to traffic on Route 22 and Yingst Drive will remain passable, with flagging as needed.
Next up will be rehabilitation to concrete arch culverts on Route 72 over a tributary to the Swatara Creek in Union Township, followed by a section of Route 22 over Indiantown Run in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County.
No specific timeline for the work was available, but the $1.1 million project is expected to be complete no later than Nov. 22, 2022, with Lobar Site Development of Dillsburg serving as the prime contractor.
