Vehicle Accident – At 2:46 p.m. April 1, a two-vehicle crash occurred on East Main Avenue when a 2005 Ford Taurus (X) driven by an 83-year-old Myerstown woman pulled out of a parking lot and struck a 2011 Chevrolet HHR driven by a 66-year-old Myerstown man. Both vehicles were disabled on the road. The woman was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, and the man was not. The woman sustained a possible injury in the crash but refused transport. The man did not sustain any injuries. KThe womanlick was cited for turning movements and required signals.

North Londonderry Township

Harassment – At 7 p.m. March 27, police filed a summary non-traffic citation for harassment for a 60-year-old Palmyra man. A coworker at Texas Roadhouse, at 61 N. Londonderry Square, reported to police on three separate occasions that the man subjected the coworker to unwanted physical contact.

DUI – At approximately 6:02 a.m. March 17, police responded to the 200 block of Gravel Hill Road for a single-vehicle crash. The vehicle driven by James Muzzy, 33, of Annville, was at the bottom of an embankment. Muzzy was treated by Life Lion EMS and transported to Hershey Medical Center. The investigation concluded that Muzzy allegedly ingested oxycodone prior to the crash. Charges for driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, reckless and careless driving, driving vehicle at safe speed, and an ignition interlock violation were filed against Muzzy through Magisterial District Judge Garver’s office.

DUI – At 6:53 p.m. Oct. 26, Ken Brown, 61, of Palmyra, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance – highest rate and incapable of safe driving, careless driving, expired driver’s license, and summary traffic offenses after an incident at Forge and Ridge roads. His BAC was 0.30%, according to police.

Palmyra Borough

Drug Possession – At approximately 8:20 p.m. Sept. 21, police came in contact with a vehicle in the 800 block of East Main Street. The driver was identified as Skylar Jarvi, now 29. During the encounter, drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in Jarvi’s vehicle. On March 30, charges were filed against Jarvi for possession of counterfeit substance (two counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, and registration and certificate of title required.

Simple Assault, Harassment – At approximately 10:51 p.m. April 1, police were dispatched to the 100 block of North College Street for a domestic dispute. When police arrived, Dustin Tonkin, 44, was identified as a subject involved in the dispute. As a result of the investigation, Tonkin was placed under arrest for simple assault and harassment (two counts) at 3:54 p.m. April 3 and was transported to Lebanon County Central Booking.

Drug Possession – At 6:17 p.m. Sept. 21, police noticed a vehicle on the 900 block of East Main Street operating with a stolen license plate. Police initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the front seat passenger as Evert Witman, now 57. Witman was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple controlled substances. At 9 a.m. April 4, charges were filed against Witman for possession of a controlled substance (two counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Failure to Comply – At 12:45 p.m. March 29, police arrested Ryan Moyer, 46, on charges of failure to comply with Megan’s Law registration requirements, a felony of the third degree. Moyer is a convicted sex offender and is required to notify the Pennsylvania State Police of changes of address. Moyer is accused of failing to maintain current information regarding his address and absconded. In addition, Moyer had an active bench warrant with the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Office and a detainer from PA State Parole. Moyer was arraigned by MDJ Anthony Verna with bail set at $5,000. Moyer was subsequently transferred to the Lebanon County Correctional Facility.

Drug Possession – At 8:44 p.m. Nov. 16, police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Sheetz, 811 E. Main St. The owner and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Kenneth George, now 34. George was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. On April 4, charges were filed against George for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two summary vehicle code violations.

Drug Possession – At approximately 12:40 p.m. Oct. 14, police initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle that had no license plate displayed. The driver was identified as Joe Weaber, now 63, who has a suspended driver’s license (DUI-related). It was determined that he also has an active bench warrant out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Office. Upon being taken into custody for the warrant, Weaber was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. On April 4, charges were filed against Weaber at MDJ Garver’s Office for possession of a controlled substance (three counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while operating privilege is suspended, and several additional vehicle code violations.
