Cornwall Borough Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who assaulted a clerk at the Dollar General in West Cornwall Township.

Police said the incident took place on Wednesday, May 25, at approximately 8:40 p.m. within the Dollar General store located at 2520 Quentin Road.

Police said that a white male had entered the store and brandished a large hand gun, pointing it at the store clerk and demanding money. The suspect then assaulted the clerk with the pistol, police said, and proceeded to leave the store on foot and head north along Route 72 with backpack in tow. Police did not specify what amount of cash the suspect took from the store.

The clerk was treated at a local hospital for injuries.

Multiple agencies are now on the hunt for the suspect, described as being somewhere between 20 and 30 years old and 5’6″ to 5’9″. Police said the suspect may have been wearing a dark wig and at the time of the incident was wearing a black and gray striped fedora, black sunglasses, a black leather jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.
