City of Lebanon

Drug Possession – At 12:52 a.m. May 13, police conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Volvo S80 on Reinoehl Street after observing a traffic violation. Police determined the driver was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and other paraphernalia. Police are investigating.

Retail Theft – Police cited a 35-year-old Lebanon woman for retail theft after she was accused of taking merchandise totaling $12.77 without paying for said items from 1130 Cumberland St. at 6:05 p.m. June 16.

Public Drunkenness – Police cited a 39-year-old Lebanon man for public drunkenness on the 00 block of North 6th Street at 10:38 p.m. June 14.

Harassment – Police cited a 38-year-old Lebanon man for harassment on the 400 block of New Street at 10:34 p.m. June 11.

Harassment – Police cited a 76-year-old Lebanon woman for harassment on the 600 block of North 8th Street at 1:55 p.m. June 2.

Harassment – Police cited a 57-year-old Lebanon woman for harassment on the 200 block of South 4th Street at 7:44 a.m. June 4.

Public Drunkenness – Police cited a 64-year-old Lebanon man for public drunkenness on the 400 block of North 9th Street at 4:25 p.m. June 13.

Harassment, Disorderly Conduct – Police cited a 22-year-old Lebanon woman for harassment and disorderly conduct on the 300 block of East Cumberland Street at 11:49 p.m. May 21.

PFA Violations – Police cited Jesse Wolfe, 38, no permanent address, with a protection from abuse order violation on the 300 block of South 6th Street at 3:38 p.m. June 13. Wolfe allegedly made physical and verbal contact with the 33-year-old victim of the PFA. She was not injured as a result. Wolfe fled the scene prior to police arrival. Police arrested Wolfe without incident on the 00 block of South 9th Street on June 14. Police transported him to LCCB, arraigned him in Lebanon County Common Pleas Court, and released him on ROR bail. Wolfe allegedly violated the same PFA after his release. Allegedly, Wolfe had phone contact with the same victim at 3 a.m. June 15. Police apprehended and transported him to LCCB. Wolfe was arraigned before MDJ Maria Dissinger and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $9,000 bail.

East Hanover Township

Theft – At 4 a.m. June 2, police responded to Allentown Boulevard for a reported theft. According to police, a 32-year-old Osceola Mills man and a 28-year-old Hummelstown man stole scrap metal from the victim. The vehicles involved included a 2006 Miniscooter.

Vehicle Accident, Failure to Stop at a Red Signal – At approximately 6:07 a.m. June 17, a crash occurred at the intersection of Allentown Boulevard (SR 22) and Lincoln School Road. A 2009 Ford F-150XLT driven by a 48-year-old Chambersburg man was traveling east in the right lane on SR 22 and a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 62-year-old Jonestown man was traveling north on Lincoln School Road with the intent of turning left onto SR 22 West. The Ford proceeded through a steady red light and struck the Chevrolet in the intersection. The Ford overturned and was towed from the scene. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and reported no injuries. Police cited the Chambersburg man for failure to stop at a red signal.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident, Emerging from Alley, Driveway, or Building – At 7:20 a.m. June 16, a two-vehicle crash occurred on SR 419, west of Locust Street. A 2014 GMC 2500 driven by a 46-year-old Odessa, Texas, man was traveling west on SR 419 when a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 30-year-old Schaefferstown man pulled out of a driveway onto SR 419 without clearance and was struck by the GMC. The Volkswagen sustained disabling damage and the GMC sustained moderate damage as a result. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and reported no injuries. Police cited the Schaefferstown man with emerging from an alley, driveway, or building.

Jackson Township

Theft Disposition of Funds – At 10:56 a.m. April 26, police responded to Tulpehocken Road for a reported theft from someone’s bank account. An unknown actor(s) spent approximately $138.76 from the victim’s debit card on Amazon. The victim was a 45-year-old Myerstown man. Police are investigating.

Harassment – Police are investigating a Childline referral of alleged physical abuse, which occurred at 7:07 p.m. June 6 on North College Street. The victim was a 13-year-old Myerstown male. This case is ongoing.

Mount Gretna Borough

Vehicle Accident – At 3:21 p.m. June 14, a crash occurred on SR 117 at Pennsylvania Avenue as an 18-year-old Middletown woman was traveling west on SR 117, went off the roadway and struck a tree. Her vehicle was towed.

North Annville Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic, DUI – At 4:12 a.m. June 4, a crash occurred on SR 422 near the 00 block of Nathan Lane. A 2022 Subaru Legacy driven by Otis Hampton II, 26, of Lebanon, accompanied by a 30-year-old Lebanon, was traveling east on SR 422 when it crossed the west lane and struck the end of a guide rail. The Subaru was disabled. Hampton and Baez were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, reported no injuries, and refused transport. Police cited Hampton with driving on roadways laned for traffic. In a later report, police released that Hampton operated the Subaru while under the influence of alcohol.

Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 1:30 a.m. June 14, a crash occurred as a vehicle of an unknown make and model driven by an unknown actor was traveling south on SR 934 when it made a right turn onto Palmyra Bellgrove Road, heading west, and struck a guide rail and street sign on its passenger’s side. The vehicle fled the scene, heading west on Palmyra Bellgrove Road. The extent of the damage to the vehicle is unknown. Police cited the driver for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving, Driving While Suspended – At 6:15 a.m. June 11, a crash occurred on the 1700 block of Quentin Road as a 39-year-old Lebanon man rear-ended a 53-year-old Ventnor, New Jersey, woman when she was stopped at a steady red light. Both vehicles were traveling north on Quentin Road. No injuries were reported, according to police. One vehicle had severe damage and was towed. Police cited the Lebanon man for careless driving and driving while suspended.

Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving – At 12:47 p.m. June 14, a crash occurred on Route 241 (Colebrook Road) near the roundabout (Rocherty Road) as a 55-year-old Mount Gretna man was traveling west on Rocherty Road. The man was distracted, failed to negotiate the curve at the roundabout, and struck the rock median, police said. No injuries were reported. His vehicle sustained three flat tires and was towed. Police cited the man for careless driving.

Palmyra Borough

Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Fleeing and Eluding, Bench Warrants – At approximately 10:43 p.m. May 28, police attempted to stop Christopher Bournias, 41, who was wanted by Lebanon County Probation/Parole and had bench warrants through Lebanon County for aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance. Bournias fled on an electric bicycle and successfully evaded police. Police issued an arrest warrant for Bournias for flight to avoid apprehension and fleeing and eluding, in addition to his existing bench warrants. Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact the Palmyra Borough Police Department.  

Bench Warrant – At approximately 6:17 p.m. June 16, police observed suspicious activity at a storage garage near the rear of the 500 block of West Main Street. Police identified the subject as Carl Rafferty, 51, who currently had a bench warrant out of Perry County for failure to appear, with the original charge being false reports – reported offense did not occur. Police confirmed the warrant, placed Rafferty under arrest, and transported him to LCCB to await transport to Perry County.  

South Londonderry Township

Retention of Library Property – On June 6, police were advised of persons who failed to return library property after certified letters were sent advising the persons of overdue property. Police cited a 40-year-old woman, a 30-year-old woman, and a 33-year-old woman, all of Palmyra, for failure to return library property after being given notice.

DUI, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 1:18 a.m. May 10, police were on patrol in the 200 block of Schoolhouse Road when they discovered a single-vehicle crash. The driver, David Reider, 67, of Middletown, struck a tree that was off the road. Police took Reider into custody. Later on, police filed charges against Reider for DUI and driving on roadways laned for traffic through MDJ Garver’s Office.

Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely – At 4 p.m. June 3, a two-vehicle crash occurred on Horseshoe Pike near South Forge Road. Police determined that a vehicle driven by a 66-year-old Palmyra woman struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Lebanon man while stopped in traffic. The man complained of minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed. Police cited the Palmyra woman with following too closely.

Pedestrian Accident – At 5:06 p.m. June 13, a crash occurred in the Redner’s parking lot at 110 Northside Commons. A Kia sedan driven by an 82-year-old Palmyra woman struck a 70-year-old Palmyra woman who was walking through the parking lot. The 82-year-old Palmyra woman was backing her vehicle out of a parking space at the time of the crash. The 70-year-old Palmyra woman was transported to the hospital for injuries.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident, Obedience to Traffic-Control Devices – At 7:27 a.m. June 13, a crash occurred as a 2006 Nissan Sentra driven by a 20-year-old Lebanon man was traveling south on Quarry Road, past its intersection with Kenbrook Road, and failed to negotiate a right curve, traveling off the road and into a ditch. The Nissan was towed. The man was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported no injuries. Police cited him with obedience to traffic-control devices.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident, Turning Movements and Required Signals – At 6:54 p.m. June 13, a single-vehicle crash occurred on SR 72, north of Lickdale Road. A 2010 Nissan Versa driven by a 45-year-old Pine Grove woman was traveling south on SR 72. The Nissan began making a left turn into the Speedway parking lot and became stuck on a curb. The woman was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported. The Nissan sustained disabling damage. Police cited her with turning movements and required signals.

Simple Harassment – At 5:10 p.m. June 6, police responded to Bordnersville Road for a reported active physical altercation. Police determined that both parties agreed to exit the residence and engage in a physical fight. The victims/arrestees were a 24-year-old Lancaster man and a 33-year-old Jonestown man. Police are investigating.

Indecent Assault – Police are investigating a Childline referral involving inappropriate sexual contact with a 5-year-old Pine Grove female. This incident occurred at 6:31 p.m. June 15 on SR 72. The investigation is ongoing.

West Cornwall Township

Simple Assault, Harassment – Police charged a 65-year-old man with simple assault and harassment from an incident on May 15 at an institution in West Cornwall Township.
