Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

We had a craving for Chinese today. I was in the office and I was looking for some place close and I could order online. Well, I found one.

Located in Jonestown, May’s Wok offers an online ordering platform through MealKeyway that doesn’t include a service fee. The restaurant itself is in a strip mall on south Lancaster Street.

For our meals today, we got the Chicken Lo Mein lunch special ($7.95) with a shrimp roll ($2.15) and the General Tso’s Chicken lunch special ($7.95). Both specials came with free rice option. We chose pork fried rice for both.

The lo Mein and fried rice came in the same container. I would have thought they would be separated. The flavor of the lo Mein had a good soy base. I added a little mustard to really make it pop. The shrimp egg roll included two shrimp with all the fixings.

The General Tso meal came with chicken chunks with a spicy sauce that had a sweet flavor on the back end. One of the better flavors for this dish that I’ve had. This will be a repeat dish for me.

Our take: May’s Wok offers a standard Chinese menu and a very simple online ordering platform. The lunch specials are a good value meal. The online ordering will text you an ETA for when your order will be ready but will not text you when it is actually ready.

We give this place ????.
