Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!
As we continue our journey on the Ice Cream Wars, we found ourselves over on the east end of the Valley again.
Located along Route 422 in Myerstown, Raub’s Twin Kiss and Family Restaurant / Raub’s Subs offers dining and ice cream treats, from soft serve to hand dipped and various creations in between. They also have a seating area and playground set on the backside for the family.
I only have one memory of a Twin Kiss, going to the one in Palmyra many, many years ago. Does anyone remember that one?

This evening, we got to try a Tropical Paradise Extreme sundae ($4.89) and small Banana Shortcake Snowstorm ($4.29).
The sundae comes with strawberries, pineapple, and banana on top of soft serve. This dish is normally made with vanilla. I got mine with the daily special of raspberry. Other days, the third soft serve flavor is strawberry. As the name implies, is strong on the tropical flavor. Might be a new favorite of mine.
Our second frozen special was banana and Nilla wafers (as the shortcake) blended for a sweet crunch. Not a combo you see often on the ice cream menu. They have several flavor options that are not typical at other establishments.
