Annville Township

Pedestrian Accident, Careless Driving, Right-of-Way of Pedestrians in Crosswalks – On Aug. 21, police cited an 81-year-old North Annville Township man with careless driving and right-of-way of pedestrians in crosswalks. Charges stem from a traffic accident at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 10, when a pickup truck driven by the man was traveling north on South White Oak Street. The truck was turning left onto West Main Street when it struck a 60-year-old Annville Township woman who was walking north in the crosswalk. The woman sustained head injuries in the crash and was transported via ambulance to the Hershey Medical Center. The woman was released from the hospital on Aug. 16.

Vehicle Accident, DUI, Careless Driving – On Aug. 30, police cited Angel Rivera-Santiago, 22, of Denver, with two counts of DUI and one count of careless driving. Charges stem from a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:21 a.m. Aug. 13 in the 800 block of Horseshoe Pike. A vehicle driven by Rivera-Santiago exited the road and collided with a concrete pillar at an area business. Rivera-Santiago sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. Police determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Cornwall Borough

Simple Assault – Police cited a 31-year-old Lebanon man with simple assault after a domestic incident on Hemlock Lane on Aug. 19. Police took the subject into custody and arraigned him at LCCB. Bail was set at $5,000 unsecured.

East Hanover Township

DUI Crash – At 7:10 p.m. Aug. 13, police responded to Gravel Hill Road and Pine Road for a reported motor vehicle crash. Police determined that the operator, a 39-year-old Lebanon woman, was under the influence of alcohol. This crash involved a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. Police are investigating.

Drug Possession – At 11:42 p.m. Aug. 27, police arrested a 42-year-old Grantville woman for being in possession of a controlled substance on Jonestown Road.

Heidelberg Township

Found Property – At approximately 1 p.m. Aug. 28, an individual turned in a brown wallet containing personal items, valued at $10, as well as one U.S. dollar bill, that was found at an unknown location in Schaefferstown. Anyone who may have lost their wallet in the area at approximately 6 p.m. Aug. 26 is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194.

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 2:37 p.m. Aug. 29, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Valley View Road, west of Becker Road. A 2006 Ford Focus driven by a 17-year-old Myerstown female was traveling north on Valley View Road, west of Becker Road. The Ford exited the right half of the road and drove onto a grassy shoulder. The female attempted to correct driving off the road but was unable to correct the vehicle. As a result, the Ford exited the road and struck a tree on the right shoulder. The Ford had initial impact with a large tree, causing heavy front-end damage. The female was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported that she was injured (suspected minor injury) as a result; she was transported via Schaefferstown EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. Gillis Miller towed the Ford from the scene. Police cited the female for driving vehicle at safe speed.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving – At 6:51 a.m. Aug. 29, a crash occurred on Cornwall Road and Springwood Drive when an 18-yer-old Lebanon man was traveling south on Cornwall Road at Springwood Drive and lost control of his vehicle, striking another vehicle. One of the vehicles was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Police cited the man with careless driving.

Warrant, Violation of Learner’s Permit – At 2:25 a.m. Aug. 31, police initiated a traffic stop for ornamental lighting on the wheels of a vehicle driven by Jonathan Santiago, 29, of Lebanon. Department of Emergency Services notified police that Santiago had an active warrant out of Dauphin County. Police transported Santiago to LCCB and cited him for violation of his learner’s permit.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving – At 7:22 a.m. Aug. 31, police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 00 block of Lindbergh Drive. It was reported that a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Annville man exited the road, striking a mailbox and a small boat trailer before hitting a parked vehicle in the driveway. No injuries were reported. Zimmey’s Automotive towed Boltz’s vehicle from the scene. Police cited him with careless driving.

Palmyra Borough

Retail Theft, Underage Alcohol Possession, Drug Possession – At approximately 11:43 a.m. Aug. 15, police responded to Sheetz for retail theft of alcohol and candy. After viewing video footage, police identified the subject as an 18-year-old Palmyra man. At approximately 10:56 a.m. Aug. 16, police located him at Sheetz. Police cited the man with retail theft and underage alcohol possession. During this time, police also found the man was in possession of marijuana. Police filed separate charges against him for possession of a small amount of marijuana.  

South Londonderry Township

Retention of Library Property – On June 16, police filed a non-traffic citation against Dana Entwistle, 41, of Palmyra, for failure to return books she borrowed from the Palmyra Public Library, at 50 Landings Drive.

Vehicle Accident, Driving without a License, Failing to Stop for a Steady Red Signal – At 6:09 p.m. Aug. 26, a Honda Civic driven by a 28-year-old Harrisburg woman failed to stop for a red light on Route 322, near Route 117, and crashed into a Honda CR-V driven by a 26-year-old Palmyra woman. The Civic was traveling west, and the CR-V was traveling south at the time of the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Police cited the Harrisburg woman with driving without a license and failing to stop for a steady red signal.

Pedestrian Accident – At 8:44 a.m. Aug. 27, police responded to an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Northside Drive and Palmyra Road. Police determined that a gold 2005 Toyota Sienna driven by an 82-year-old Palmyra woman was traveling west on Northside Drive. While in the process of turning left onto Palmyra Road, the Toyota struck a 54-year-old Palmyra woman who was crossing Palmyra Road. the 54-year-old woman was transported to the Hershey Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Swatara Township

DUI – At 1:48 a.m. Aug. 14, police arrested a 30-year-old Penn man for operating a 2015 Ram 2500 while under the influence of alcohol on SR 72 North.

Vehicle Accident, Vehicle Turning Left – At 5:59 p.m. Aug. 30, a crash occurred on SR 22 East at its intersection with Lancaster Street. A 2005 Honda CRV driven by a 55-year-old Lebanon man accompanied by a 46-year-old Lebanon man was traveling west on SR 22 West, preparing to make a left turn onto Lancaster Street. A 2019 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 27-year-old Myerstown, man was traveling east on SR 22 East. The Honda proceeded without proper clearance and was struck by the Chrysler on SR 22 East. The Honda came to a rest, facing west, on the right shoulder of SR 22 East. The Chrysler came to a rest in the left turn lane of SR 22 West. Both units sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene by Motter’s. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts, and no injuries were reported. Police cited the 55-year-old Lebanon man with vehicle turning left.

Theft By Deception – Sometime between 11:12 a.m. Aug. 12 and 7 a.m. Aug. 15, police responded to Golf Road for a report of a scam. Police determined that the victim, an 80-year-old Lebanon man, sent $7,500 to an address in Miami, Florida, believing his grandson was involved in a DUI crash and needed bail money. The “grandson” told the victim to inform his bank that the funds were for home renovations and not to contact any family members. Police are investigating.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 2:04 p.m. Aug. 26, a crash occurred as a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu driven by an 80-year-old Jonestown woman was turning left onto Jonestown Road and a 1996 Ford F-150XLT driven by a 59-year-old Lebanon man was traveling west on Jonestown Road. The Chevrolet proceeded from a stop sign on Colonial Drive without clearance and struck the Ford. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of the Chevrolet struck the driver’s side rear of the Ford. The Chevrolet came to a rest on the east shoulder of Jonestown Road, facing west. The Ford came to a rest in Rutter’s parking lot, facing south. The Chevrolet was towed from the scene. Cormack and Smith were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported. Police cited the Jonestown woman with stop signs and yield signs.

DUI – At 2:31 a.m. Aug. 28, police arrested a 24-year-old Harrisburg woman for operating a 2009 Acura MDX on SR 72 and Jonestown Road while under the influence of alcohol.

Drug Possession – At 6:30 p.m. Aug. 14, police initiated a traffic stop on a 2007 Hyundai Accent on SR 72 and Allentown Boulevard for traffic violations. Police determined that the operator, a 49-year-old Philadelphia man, was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Police are investigating.
