Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At 9:07 p.m. Oct. 22, a crash occurred at the intersecting roads of Mount Zion and Greble roads when a 2018 Harley-Davidson Road Glide driven by a 66-year-old Lebanon man was traveling south on Mount Zion and a 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by a 17-year-old Myerstown female proceeded through a stop sign without clearance. The Harley-Davidson hit the Toyota on its driver’s side as it pulled into the intersection. The juvenile was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained no injuries. The Lebanon man was not wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injuries but refused transport. Police cited the juvenile with stop signs and yield signs.

Cornwall Borough

Deer Struck – A vehicle driven by a 74-year-old Lebanon woman struck a deer at 7:39 p.m. Oct. 20 on SR 419 near Cornwall Elementary School. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – At 12:40 a.m. Oct. 22, a 2005 Ford Escape driven by a 59-year-old Harrisburg woman was traveling east in the left lane of SR 22 and struck a deer. The woman was wearing her seatbelt and no injuries were reported.

Heidelberg Township

Theft – At 3:28 p.m. Oct. 2, police responded to Heidelberg Avenue for a reported theft of Apple airpods, valued at $170. The victim was an 18-year-old Lebanon man.

Burglary – Sometime during the night of Sept. 21, an unknown actor(s) entered a greenhouse in the 2200 block of Stiegel Pike and removed three cash registers, valued at $875. The victim was a 27-year-old Myerstown man.

Jackson Township

Assault – At 12:46 a.m. Oct. 19, police responded to Hilltop Road to investigate a Childline referral of alleged physical abuse involving a 5-year-old Lebanon boy. The investigation is ongoing.

Theft Disposition of Funds – At 11 a.m. Sept. 18, police responded to West McKinley Avenue for a theft. The victim, a 64-year-old Myerstown man, had his tax return deposited in a fraudulent bank account. The loss was $1,400. Police are investigating.

Vehicle Accident, Following Too Closely – At 6:15 p.m. Oct. 27, a crash occurred on SR 422, west of Martin Road. A 2001 Toyota Solara driven by a 45-year-old Lebanon woman was stopped in the west lane of SR 422 at a red light. A 2006 Volkswagen Jetta driven by an 18-year-old Myerstown woman failed to stop and rear-ended the Toyota. CJ Wagner’s Towing towed the Volkswagen from the scene. Both women were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported. Police cited the 18-year-old woman with following too closely. Keystone Fire Company and Fire Police also assisted on the scene.

Myerstown Borough

Theft By Deception – At 8:22 p.m. Sept. 28, police received a report of a potential PayPal scam. Police determined that an individual emailed the victim, a 64-year-old Myerstown woman, in regards to them sending too much money to the victim’s PayPal account. The individual then requested that the victim send $20,000 through Apple credit cards. The victim sent $12,000 to the individual through Apple credit cards. Police are investigating.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – At 12:44 p.m. Oct. 21, a 36-year-old Lebanon woman was driving east on York Street, at a stop sign, when she pulled out onto Cornwall Road and collided with a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old Newmanstown woman. One vehicle needed to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. 

Vehicle Accident – At 5:28 p.m. Oct. 25, a 19-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling south on Creekside Drive when she lost control of her vehicle and slid off the road, striking a fire hydrant. The vehicle needed to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. 

North Londonderry Township

Harassment – At 3 p.m. Oct. 15, police cited a 43-year-old Palmyra man with harassment following incidents when he showed up at the house of a 36-year-old Palmyra woman in the 700 block of South Railroad Street, attempting to locate someone who did not live there. Police told the man not to return, but he did so several days later.

Palmyra Borough

DUI, Driving Under Suspension – At approximately 8:17 p.m. Sept. 7, police responded to the 100 block of West Main Street for reports of a man passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle. Police were able to wake the man, identified as Seyion Long, 23. Police observed Long exhibiting signs of impairment and placed him under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Lab results later showed that Long was operating with fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana in his system. Police also determined that Long was operating with a suspended driver’s license. On Oct. 15, charges were filed against Long for DUI-impaired ability, DUI-schedule I controlled substance, two counts of DUI-schedule II controlled substance, two counts of DUI-metabolite of a controlled substance, and driving under suspension.  

Disorderly Conduct – At approximately 12:10 a.m. Oc. 16, police responded to the 900 block of East Maple Street for a domestic dispute. One of the subjects, a 29-year-old woman, began yelling outside despite being told to stop multiple times. Police cited her with disorderly conduct. 

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – At 3:34 p.m. Oct. 20, a crash occurred on the north shoulder of SR 22 when a 2017 Ford Taurus driven by a 41-year-old Palmyra man was backing up and the driver misjudged the proximity of road equipment parked along the shoulder. The Ford to hit the equipment and sustained damage to its rear end. The man was wearing his seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The equipment did not appear damaged.

Union Township

Theft By Deception – At approximately 11:43 p.m. Oct. 15, police responded to the 400 block of Jonestown Road for a 27-year-old Jonestown woman who was scammed out of $400 through a Facebook Marketplace ad. Police are investigating.
