Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – At 5:05 p.m. Dec. 20, a crash occurred as a 2003 Acura RSX driven by a 19-year-old Bloomsburg, man accompanied by a 19-year-old Lebanon man and a 34-year-old Annville man, was traveling north on Union Road. The Acura it entered a slight right curve at the crest of a hill in the 400 block of Union Road but failed to properly exit the curve, leaving the right side of the road. The Acura struck multiple trees and a utility pole before halting in the yard of a residence. The driver of the Acura was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, and two passengers were extricated from the Acura by the Mount Zion Fire Company. The driver and a passenger were transported by ground and one passenger was transported via life flight to the Hershey Medical Center. The Acura was towed from the scene. Fredericksburg Fire Company, First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon, Life Lion EMS, and Fire Police assisted on the scene.

DUI – At 10:15 p.m. Dec. 19, a 28-year-old Myerstown man operated a 2008 Volkswagen Golf Sport Wagen while under the influence of alcohol at Mount Zion and Greble roads.

Cornwall Borough

Vehicle Accident – At 4:14 p.m. Dec. 16, a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Lititz man struck a deer on SR 322 West, just before the intersection with SR 72. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage but was drivable.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – At 6:52 a.m. Dec. 15, a crash occurred on SR 22 West at Allentown Boulevard and Harrison School Road. A 2021 Ford F-150XLT was traveling west on Allentown Boulevard when its driver observed something walking on the road. As the Ford got closer, the animal appeared to be a miniature horse walking east on the shoulder of SR 22 in the west lane toward traffic. The driver of the Ford was unable to change lanes quickly enough due to the slick road conditions and struck the horse in the right lane of SR 22 West. The horse succumbed to its injuries as police arrived on the scene. The owner took possession of the horse and removed it from the road. The Ford was able to be driven from the scene. No injuries were reported by the driver of the Ford.

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 10:08 a.m. Dec. 15, a crash occurred on Allentown Boulevard at Picnic Woods Road. A 2021 Honda Civic driven by a 41-year-old Fredericksburg man was traveling in the left lane of SR 22 East and hit a patch of ice. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the guide rail on the right shoulder. The driver was wearing his seatbelt and no injuries were reported. Police cited the driver with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed, Vehicle Inspection – At approximately 9:40 a.m. Dec. 22, a crash occurred on the 1000 block of Gravel Hill Road. A 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 23-year-old Sinking Spring man was traveling north on Gravel Hill Road and negotiating a right curve. A 2013 Ford Escape driven by an 80-year-old Williamstown woman was traveling south on Gravel Hill Road and negotiating a left curve. The driver of the Chevrolet lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the driver’s side of the Ford. The Chevrolet was occupied by one person who was wearing a seatbelt and no injuries were reported. The Ford was occupied by one person who was wearing a seatbelt and no injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police cited the driver of the Chevrolet with driving vehicle at safe speed and vehicle inspection.

Burglary Commercial Force – On Dec. 24, several suspects arrived at the Blatt & Tillet Tow and Repair Garage, at 10630 Allentown Blvd., and forced entry into the garage. The suspects rummaged through vehicles and stole items, tools and cash from the vehicles, garage and offices. The suspects then stole a gold Ford Explorer that was at the garage for service and fled the scene. The vehicle was later abandoned in Lebanon. Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident – At 7:17 a.m. Dec. 15, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Reistville Road, west of 501 South. A 2010 Volkswagen Golf driven by a 20-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling east, attempting to negotiate a left curve on a downhill slope, when its driver was traveling too fast for the conditions and failed to make the turn. The Volkswagen struck a tree on the right side of the road and came to a rest in the west lane with disabling front-end passenger’s side damage. The driver of the Volkswagen was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported. The Volkswagen was towed from the scene.

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 5:30 a.m. Dec. 15, a crash occurred on the 1400 block of Heidelberg Avenue. A 2005 Saturn Vue driven by a 60-year-old Jonestown man was traveling west on Heidelberg Avenue when he lost control and struck a utility pole on the left side of the road. The Saturn severed the pole and struck a house. The driver of the Saturn was wearing his seatbelt and no injuries were reported. Police cited the driver with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At approximately 5:21 p.m. Dec. 27, police responded to the area of SR 501 North and Spring Haven Road for a two-vehicle crash. A 2017 Honda Civic driven by a 17-year-old Newmanstown male failed to stop at a stop sign, causing a 2006 BMW 325 driven by a 66-year-old Schaefferstown man to strike the front of the Honda. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police cited the juvenile with stop signs and yield signs.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – A 2019 Toyota Camry was traveling north on Hilltop Road at 7:14 p.m. Dec. 17 when the driver lost control while negotiating a right curve in the road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle rotated, slid into a yard, and struck some concrete yard ornaments and a tree. The Toyota sustained major damage to its right side. The driver was wearing a seatbelt. No airbags were deployed. No injuries were reported. Police cited the driver of the Toyota with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Jonestown Borough

Theft By Deception – At approximately 2:18 p.m. Dec. 23, a 37-year-old woman reported that an unidentified person deceived her into putting a down payment on a rental property. The victim reported that she also provided her social security number and personal information to the person. The victim was advised to contact the Federal Trade Commission and the Social Security Administration as her identity had been compromised. The victim was provided a victim/witness rights guide, which contains the police incident report number for her to provide to her financial institution. Attempts to contact or identify the actor were fruitless; no actionable leads were developed. The monetary loss to the victim was $450. Millcreek Township

DUI – At 12:18 a.m. Dec. 17, a 24-year-old Manheim man crashed a 2007 Ford F250 Supercab on SR 419 while under the influence of alcohol.

Myerstown Borough

Death Natural – At 5:19 p.m. Dec. 18, police responded to the 200 block of East Carpenter Avenue for a report of a natural death, where a 59-year-old man was found unresponsive inside his residence. The victim was discovered in his bedroom by his neighbor, who called 911. The victim suffered from multiple health-related conditions. No signs of criminal activity were observed at the scene.

Vehicle Accident, Stop Signs and Yield Signs – At approximately 3:05 p.m. Dec. 5, police responded to a two-vehicle crash on West Washington Avenue, north of Locust Street. A 2021 Nissan Maxima and a 2012 Volkswagen Eos were both disabled in the crash and towed from the scene. The driver of the Nissan, a 23-year-old Myerstown man, and the driver of the Volkswagen, a 73-year-old Myerstown woman, were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. The driver of the Nissan sustained suspected minor injuries but was not transported. The driver of the Volkswagen sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon. Myerstown Fire also assisted on the scene. Police cited the driver of the Nissan with stop signs and yield signs.

North Annville Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 6:45 a.m. Dec. 16, a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 24-year-old Pottstown man was traveling too fast for the rainy conditions on Clear Spring Road. The Chevrolet crossed the north lane before hitting a utility pole with its front bumper. The Chevrolet sustained disabling front-end damage, and the utility pole was sheared, causing the power line to fail. The driver of the Chevrolet was wearing his seatbelt. No injuries were reported. Police cited the driver with driving vehicle at safe speed.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – At 11:07 p.m. Dec. 17, a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling east on 422 in the 2000 block of Cumberland Street when she struck a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old Lebanon man. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

DUI – At 2:32 a.m. Dec. 3, while on patrol, police conducted a traffic stop on Quentin Road and York Street. Police arrested Isamarie Rijos, 30, of Jonestown, for DUI. Rijos’ BAC was 0.155%.

Driving While Suspended, Failure to Stop at a Red Signal – At 12:17 a.m. Dec. 18, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle because it failed to stop at a red light. Police discovered that a 36-year-old Lebanon man was driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection. Police also cited Sheehan for failure to stop at a red signal.

Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness – At 3:54 p.m. Dec. 21, police responded to the 100 block of Springwood Drive. Upon arrival, police made contact with a 33-year-old Palmyra woman. The woman was asked to leave a business but refused. Police then arrested her for criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.

PFA Order Violation – At 2:16 p.m. Dec. 29, police responded to the 100 block of South 17th Street for a female victim reporting a PFA order violation. Police arrested Joshua LeBlanc, 38, of Lebanon, for allegedly violating the PFA court order and transported him to LCCB for processing.

Palmyra Borough

Resisting Arrest, Evading on Foot, Loitering and Prowling at Night, Public Drunkenness – At 1:24 a.m. Dec. 19, police responded to the 100 block of North Lincoln Street for reports of two unknown males in the backyard of a caller’s residence. Police arrived on the scene and found one of the males, who was eventually identified as Macario Choc, who fled the scene at the sight of the police. Choc was eventually captured after actively resisting officers. He was determined to be heavily intoxicated and only 20 years old. Police arrested Choc and charged him with resisting arrest, evading on foot, loitering and prowling at night, public drunkenness, and underage drinking. Police transported Choc to LCCB for processing. The other male, who was identified as Mateo Tzul, was also heavily intoxicated and could not explain what he was doing at the residence or where he lived. Police arrested Tzul and charged him with loitering and prowling at night and public drunkenness. Police transported Tzul to LCCB for processing. 

DUI, Registration Required, Operation of Vehicle without Inspection – At approximately 1:06 a.m. Nov. 19, police initiated a traffic stop on a silver Mitsubishi Outlander in the 800 block of East Main Street. Police identified the driver of the vehicle as Kathy Medina, 42. Medina showed signs of intoxication, and police placed her under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Lab results showed that Medina’s BAC was 0.274%. On Dec. 12, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Garver’s office charging Medina with DUI-highest rate of alcohol, DUI-general impairment, registration required, operation of a vehicle without inspection, restriction on alcoholic beverage, and operation without required financial responsibility.

Driving Under Suspension – On Dec. 15, charges were filed against Cindy Larry, 41, following a traffic stop on Dec. 7. Larry was driving under suspension (DUI-related), with this being her fourth offense.

Drug Possession – At approximately 9:30 a.m. Nov. 23, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for several violations. Police found the passenger, a 21-year-old man, to be in possession of marijuana. On Dec. 23, charges for possession of marijuana were filed against the man through MDJ Garver’s office.

Theft – At approximately 7:30 p.m. Dec. 25, a theft from a motor vehicle occurred on the 900 block of East Main Street. The victim reported that she parked her red sedan in front of one of the businesses on the block and then briefly entered a business. Once the victim reentered her vehicle, she left the area, only to find that her black and maroon Vera Bradley bag had been taken from the front passenger’s side compartment of her vehicle. The victim reported that several credit and debit cards were inside the bag, along with other personal information. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Palmyra Borough police.

Hit-and-Run Crash, Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Property – At 4:45 p.m. Oct. 12, police responded to the 400 block of North Railroad Street for a hit-and-run crash. Police determined that Jordan Jamison, 43, was the driver of the striking vehicle. Charges of accidents involving damage to attended property were filed against Jamison through MDJ Garver’s office on Dec. 20.

Public Drunkenness – At approximately 2:50 a.m. Dec. 28, police observed an individual walking west in the east lane of SR 422, specifically, on the 800 block of East Main Street. Police identified the individual as a 33-year-old man and determined he was manifestly under the influence of alcohol and provided him with a ride back to his residence. On Dec. 29, a non-traffic citation was filed through MDJ Garver’s office, charging him with one count of public drunkenness.

South Londonderry Township

Disorderly Conduct, Harassment – On Dec. 3, police responded to the Klick Lewis Arena, at 101 Landings Drive, for a report of a disturbance. Police determined that a 49-year-old Bensalem man had used profane language and made obscene gestures while yelling and following another person in the parking lot. Police cited him with disorderly conduct and harassment.

Vehicle Accident – At approximately 7:15 p.m. Nov. 27, police responded to the 1400 block of Mount Wilson Road for a report of a single-vehicle crash. Police identified a 45-year-old Columbia man as the driver of the single vehicle that had left the road before coming to a final rest in the tree line, adjacent to the road. Lawn Fire also assisted on the scene.

Vehicle Accident – At approximately 8:12 p.m. Nov. 26, police responded to the 1900 block of South Forge Road for a report of a vehicle into a structure. Police identified a 37-year-old Palmyra man as the operator of the single vehicle that was involved. The man reported that he had swerved to avoid a deer on the road. Campbelltown Fire Company and First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon also assisted on the scene.

Vehicle Accident – At 8:47 a.m. Dec. 22, a Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 56-year-old York woman was traveling west and was stopped in the right turn lane of SR 322, preparing to turn right onto SR 117, when she was struck from behind by a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 23-year-old Lebanon woman. The Toyota had been traveling west on SR 322 when it slid on the snow-covered road and struck the Volkswagen. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene. An ambulance responded to the scene to evaluate the drivers but nobody was transported. Campbelltown Fire Police and Campbelltown Fire Company also assisted on the scene.

Vehicle Accident – At 9:25 a.m. Dec. 22, a 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara driven by a 40-year-old Robesonia man was traveling south on the 200 block of Lawn Road when his vehicle slid off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The road was snow-covered at the time. The man reported no injuries. The Suzuki was towed from the scene.

Swatara Township

Theft – At approximately 3:37 p.m. Dec. 23, a 60-year-old man who resides in Swatara Township reported that an unidentified person deceived him into purchasing a computer graphic card through an online vendor, but the victim never received the product. Police advised the victim to contact the vendor for a resolution. Attempts to contact or identify the actor were fruitless; no actionable leads were developed. The monetary loss to the victim was $509.85. The victim was provided a victim/witness rights guide, which contains the police incident report number for him to provide to his financial institution. Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 12:02 a.m. Dec. 23, a crash occurred at SR 22, just west of School Drive. A silver 2017 Ford F-150XLT driven by an 18-year-old Myerstown man, accompanied by an18-year-old Fredericksburg man, a 16-year-old Myerstown female, a 20-year-old Fredericksburg woman, a 21-year-old Bethel woman, and an 18-year-old Bethel woman was traveling east in the left lane of SR 22 when the rear-end of the Ford began to hydroplane. The driver attempted to brake, causing the Ford to traverse into the right lane and strike a ditch off the right shoulder of the road before rolling over onto its roof. The Ford was disabled from the crash and was towed from the scene. All occupants of the Ford were wearing their seatbelts except the 21-year-old Bethel woman and the 18-year-old Bethel woman. The 18-year-old Bethel woman sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of the crash and was transported by First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon. No other injuries were reported. Police cited the 18-year-old Myerstown man with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Union Township

Found Dog – At approximately 2:15 p.m. Dec. 18, a concerned citizen found a lost dog roaming unattended in the area of Quarter Master Road and Racehorse Drive at the East Hanover Township and Union Township line. The dog did not have a collar to identify its owner. The dog is described as a white male husky, well-kept and friendly. The dog was taken to the Humane Society at 150 N. Ramona Road. Anyone with any information regarding ownership of the dog is asked to contact the Humane Society at 717-628-1369.

Vehicle Accident – At 1:30 p.m. Dec. 17, a crash occurred in the Loves Truck Stop parking lot at 22 Old Forge Road. A 2022 Freightliner Sprinter was backing up to park for the night when its driver backed up too far and lightly struck a red 2020 Hyundai Trailers LT625. The Hyundai sustained damage to its passenger’s side mirror. No injuries were reported.

Criminal Mischief $1,000+ – At 9:05 a.m. Dec. 12, police responded to the Mattel Warehouse, at 575 Old Forge Road, for a report of criminal mischief. The head of security there said he observed an employee’s estranged boyfriend, Angel Feliciano, 28, of Lebanon, smashing the windows of her mother’s vehicle, a 1994 Toyota Corolla, in the parking lot. The arrestee then fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was a 49-year-old Lebanon woman. Charges will be filed.
