Bethel Township
Vehicle Accident, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic – At 3:22 p.m. Feb. 25, a 2016 Honda Fit driven by a 39-year-old Fredericksburg man was traveling east on Mountain Drive, east of its intersection with Sunset Drive, when the Honda exited the road to the right shoulder and struck a tree. The Honda sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Blatt and Tillett. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained suspected minor injuries; he was evaluated at the scene by Bethel EMS but refused transport. Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Company assisted on the scene. Police charged the man with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
East Hanover Township
Harassment – At 4:38 p.m. Feb. 27, police responded to Allentown Boulevard following an altercation when Lebanon County Children and Youth attempted to conduct a home visit. Police determined that the arrestees — a 52-year-old Grantville man, a 34-year-old Grantville woman, and a 34-year-old Grantville woman — harassed the victim, a 24-year-old Lebanon woman. Charges were filed.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle Accident – At 7:56 p.m. Feb. 25, a 2017 Honda CRV driven by a 74-year-old Beaver Falls woman was traveling north on North Market Street (SR 419), north of its intersection with Valley View Road, when the Honda struck a horse running across the road. The Honda sustained disabling damage. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained suspected minor injuries but refused transport. The horse sustained major injuries and was removed from the scene by its owner.
Vehicle Accident, Texting and Driving – At 10:09 a.m. March 1, police responded to Reistville and Prescott roads for a single-vehicle crash. A 56-year-old Bethel woman driving a 2016 Kia Sedona was texting and driving when the Kia left the road and struck a utility pole and rolling once before coming to a rest. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained suspected minor injuries. Police charged her with texting and driving.
Jackson Township
DUI Crash – At 2:02 a.m. Feb. 26, a 23-year-old Myerstown man operated a 2019 Ram Truck on Millardsville Road while under the influence of alcohol.
Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 5:47 p.m. Feb. 27, police responded to West Lincoln Avenue and North Ramona Road for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a white 2008 Mercedes-Benz 300 Series driven by a 45-year-old Reading man was traveling too fast for road conditions, causing it to strike a 2023 Hyundai Kona driven by a 70-year-old Lebanon man. Both men were wearing seatbelts, and no injuries were reported. Charges, including driving vehicle at safe speed, were filed.
North Londonderry Township
Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving – At 10:36 a.m. Feb. 25, a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Biglerville man struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Middletown man on the 1200 block of East Main Street. The Biglerville man’s vehicle sustained damage to its front end and was unable to be driven from the scene. The Middletown man’s vehicle sustained minor damage to its rear bumper and was able to be driven from the scene. No injuries were reported. The Biglerville man reported that he looked away from the road and was unable to avoid the rear of the Middletown man’s vehicle. Police charged the Biglerville man with careless driving.
Disorderly Conduct – Police charged a 56-year-old Harrisburg woman with disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that occurred at 9:41 p.m. Feb. 11 when she arrived on the 00 block of Shady Lane and created an intentional and unnecessary disturbance that alarmed the homeowner.
North Londonderry Police Need Assistance with Serious Hit and Run – Police are seeking additional information in regards to a serious hit-and-run crash that occurred on Feb. 11. Police are requesting that anyone who had construction, roofing work, or estimates completed by MDA Construction between Feb. 8 and 15 contact North Londonderry Township police at 717-838-5276 or tips@nlondtwp.com. Palmyra Borough
Drug Possession, Summary Traffic Violations – At 9:45 a.m. Oct. 10, police pulled over a vehicle on the 200 block of West Cherry Street for an expired registration. Police identified the driver as Julio Hernandez, 22, and determined that he was operating without insurance and was in possession of marijuana and controlled substances. Lab results later confirmed the substances were methamphetamine. On Feb. 17, charges were filed against Hernandez for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and two summary traffic violations.
Drug Possession, Summary Traffic Violations – At 11:35 a.m. Nov. 23, police pulled over a motorcycle on the 500 block of East Main Street for an expired registration. Police identified the driver as Michael Shaak II, 36, and determined that he was operating without insurance and had a suspended driver’s license (DUI-related). Police also found Shaak was in possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Lab results later confirmed the substances were methamphetamine. On Feb. 17, charges were filed against Shaak for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three summary traffic violations.
Bench Warrants – At approximately 4:55 p.m. Feb. 28, police pulled over a blue Ford Explorer on the 700 block of West Main Street and identified the front-seat passenger as Christopher Bush, 33, who had an active bench warrant out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear (retail theft). Bush also had an active warrant out of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear (retail theft). Bush was taken to LCCB.
Drug Possession, Limitations on Backing – At 10:35 a.m. Oct. 11, police responded to the McDonald’s parking lot, at 901 E. Main St., for reports of a crash involving a pedestrian. Police identified the driver as Terrell Bryant, 42, and determined that he backed into a pedestrian attempting to exit the store. Police also found that Bryant was in possession of controlled substances. Lab results later confirmed the substances were amphetamines and marijuana/THC-infused candies. Charges were filed against Bryant for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and limitations on backing.
South Lebanon Township
DUI, Unlawful Activities – At approximately 1:30 a.m. Feb. 12, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1800 block of East Cumberland Street and determined that the driver, Mibealys Negron-Rosado, 40, consumed alcoholic beverages before operating the vehicle. She failed a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Legal blood results indicated Negron-Rosado’s BAC was .242% at the time of the incident. Police charged Negron-Rosado with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and unlawful activities.
Harassment – At approximately 9:14 a.m. Feb. 23, police responded to a disturbance on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street. Police determined that a 28-year-old man pushed a 78-year-old man to the ground. Police charged the suspect with harassment.
Homicide By Vehicle, Aggravated Assault By Vehicle, Involuntary Manslaughter – At approximately 8:45 a.m. June 4, 2022, police responded to a crash involving a garbage truck along State Drive, just south of Stonehedge Drive. Upon arrival on the scene, police discovered numerous serious injuries to the vehicle’s passengers. After a lengthy investigation, police charged the driver of the garbage truck, Zachary Gilbert, 26, with homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person, unlawful activities, driving vehicle at safe speed, reckless driving, and registered gross weight.
Swatara Township
Theft of Lost/Mislaid Property – At approximately 1:45 a.m. Nov. 25, a small pink wallet, valued at $10, containing a PA driver license, a Chase Slate credit card, and a Lebanon Federal Credit Union debit card, was stolen from a bar at the Frogs Hollow Bar on the 2200 block of SR 72 North. The victim was a 33-year-old Lebanon woman.
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – At approximately 8:55 a.m. March 1, police responded to Grace Avenue and Water Street for a report of criminal mischief. It was discovered that a red reflector, valued at $2.60, located in the victim’s yard was damaged by unknown means by an unknown actor. The victim was a 69-year-old Lebanon man. No video surveillance was available, and no actionable leads were developed. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2023-265638.
Harassment – At 5:03 p.m. Feb. 5, police responded to Kenbrook Road for the report of an active domestic between a husband and wife. Police determined that the husband smacked the wife on the buttocks multiple times as a form of discipline. The arrestee was a 75-year-old Lebanon man. The victim was a 67-year-old Lebanon woman. Police are investigating.
