The Ebenezer Beautification Committee has put out a call for volunteers to help remove holiday wreaths from veterans’ graves at Covenant Greenwood Ebenezer Cemetery on Saturday, March 18.
Volunteers will help remove the wreaths and recycle the greenery, bows, and metal. If possible, volunteers are asked to bring their own portable chair and bolt cutters to help with disassembling the wreaths.
There are more than 1,000 graves at Covenant Greenwood Ebenezer Cemetery identified as veterans’ graves.
The removal event begins at 9 a.m. Anyone with questions can call Gwen Yordy at 717-272-4191 for more information.
