Fort Indiantown Gap will host trainings this month that could result in increased noise levels for Lebanon County residents.

Water bucket training will be held May 9 to 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Artillery training will be held May 10 to 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Demolition training will be held May 14 to 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire and maneuver military base in Pennsylvania. It is considered the nation’s largest National Guard training facility by number of mandays trained – close to 1 million annually.

The Gap’s “busy season” runs from the week after Easter through August, according to a recent dispatch from the military base. Training volume peaks in June or July.
