Hilltop Playground Association invites the community to a family-friendly outdoor dance on June 3.
This year’s 71st annual dance follows up last year’s major 70th anniversary gathering, which LebTown profiled. The dances harken back to a time when the playground (801 N 6th Street) was more often than not abuzz with activity, the center of neighborhood happenings.

The event, free to attend and open to all ages, promises an evening filled with entertainment, food, music, and of course – lots of nostalgia.
DJ Brian Wagner, a.k.a. DJ BWAGZ, will kick off the evening with crowd-favorite oldies tunes before adjusting his playlist to match the crowd’s energy and spirit. Guests are encouraged to come ready to dance and have a good time, whether you’re a seasoned regular or a new face dancing at Hilltop Playground for the first time.
William Penn hotdogs and other items will be available for cash-only purchase from the on-site kitchen.
Guests of legal drinking age can look forward to Cork Dork Wine, who will be serving drinks from a mobile bar. For those eager to try their luck, raffles and prizes will be offered throughout the evening.
