Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity will headline the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual Breakfast at the Fair event, slated for Tuesday, July 25, at the Lebanon Area Fair.

Organized by the Chamber’s Farm-City Committee, the breakfast will be served in the North Hall at the Lebanon Valley Exposition Center & Fairgrounds from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The keynote address by Garrity, a prominent businesswoman and retired U.S. Army Reserve Colonel, will follow. Attendance is free and open to the public, with pre-event registration recommended via the Chamber’s website.

Garrity was elected on November 3, 2020, and was sworn into office on January 19, 2021. Recently, Garrity saw the state senate pass legislation she had proposed to automatically send unclaimed money directly to its owners. The legislation is currently pending in front of the house finance committee. Before entering public service, Garrity was among the first two female vice-presidents at Global Tungsten & Powders in Towanda, the world’s largest western tungsten smelter. Her military career includes three overseas deployments.

The Breakfast at the Fair event, made possible by Visit Lebanon Valley, Chrisland Engineering, FCCB, and Horizon Farm Credit, forms part of the Farm-City Committee’s efforts to foster appreciation for the local agriculture and business sectors. The committee also oversees an annual farm tour and chicken BBQ fundraiser, while awarding scholarships to Lebanon County seniors planning to pursue agriculture-related post-secondary education.

The breakfast and keynote address do not require Chamber membership to attend, but registration is requested. For more details, visit the Chamber’s website.
