The Lebanon Valley Conservancy (TLVC) is set to host a golf tournament fundraiser at the private, Audubon-certified Lebanon Country Club on Aug. 28, aimed at supporting land preservation efforts in the region.
The event, teeing off at the club located along Oak Street in Lebanon, will follow a scramble format. The day’s activities include lunch, games and prizes, and a gift bag for each participant. Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by lunch at 11 a.m., and the shotgun start at 12 p.m.
This debut tournament from TLVC is expected to become an annual event. “The tournament is an important fundraiser for us. It helps us continue our mission in the Lebanon Valley, including providing environmental education, assisting with local park projects, planting trees, and protecting our land,” said Kara Lubold, executive director of the Lebanon Valley Conservancy.
The Lebanon Country Club, first certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary in 2007, aligns with the preservation mindset of the TLVC. Ned Gibble, TLVC board member and event chair, praised the club’s maintenance and its commitment to wildlife habitat enhancement and natural resource protection.
Registration for the tournament is open with limited spaces. A registration fee of $100 per golfer applies. While foursome sign-ups are encouraged, they are not obligatory. Sponsorship opportunities are also available to local organizations or businesses interested in supporting TLVC’s mission.
For registration or sponsorship inquiries, contact TLVC’s office at (717) 273-6400 or email director@TLVC.org. More information can be found on the Lebanon Valley Conservancy’s website, www.TLVC.org, and their Facebook event page.
