Musician and songwriter Leah J. Hileman, from western Pennsylvania, is set to grace the Annville Church of the Brethren with her melodies on Aug. 19. The outdoor concert will begin at 6 p.m. at the church, located at 495 E. Maple St., Annville.
The concert will take place in the field behind the church, providing a natural backdrop for Hileman’s versatile musical styles. Attendees will be treated to an ice cream social after the performance and are encouraged to bring their own seating in the form of chairs or blankets.
The very next day, on Aug. 20, Hileman will be wearing dual hats: as a messenger and a musician. She is slated to present both the message and special music during the Sunday service, which starts at 10:15 a.m. at the church.
Hileman’s musical journey has touched multiple genres, from jazz/blues and folk/Americana to classic American standards and Christian/gospel, with over 300 songs penned by her, seven albums, and tours across the United States and abroad.
In addition to her solo career, she is part of the Bittersweet Gospel Band and collaborates with music partner Putter Cox in the Americana/folk duo “LP.” Those interested in sampling her music can visit leahjsongs.com.
Apart from her contributions to the world of music, Hileman hosts the YouTube gardening channel “Leah’s Leaves.” She finds solace in a cabin nestled in the woods of Seward, PA, where she shares her home with a dog and two cats.
The public is warmly invited to come and appreciate the musical flavors Leah J. Hileman will bring to Lebanon County this August.
