Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – At approximately 10:19 a.m. Aug. 19, a crash occurred as a 2022 Honda Grom motorcycle driven by a 64-year-old Lebanon man was traveling south on Union Road near Beagle Road. While negotiating a left curve, the ma veered to the right side of the lane to move away from the yellow line and oncoming vehicles and lost control. The Honda fell onto its side, and the driver was ejected from it. The driver was not using safety equipment, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS.

City of Lebanon

Arrest Warrant – On Aug. 22, police issued an arrest warrant against Jeffrey Kuhn, 34, with the original charge of theft by deception stemming from an incident on the 300 block of East Weidman Street.

Arrest Warrant – On Aug. 10, police issued an arrest warrant against Victor Rivera, 36, with the original charge of escape stemming from an incident on the 1200 block of Mifflin Street.

Arrest Warrant – On Aug. 2, police issued an arrest warrant against Stacy Baltimore, 61, with the original charges of simple assault and terroristic threats stemming from an incident on the 400 block of North 5th Street.

Arrest Warrant – On July 7, police issued an arrest warrant against Brian Rosareo-Santiago, 20, with the original charges of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from an incident on the 500 block of North 8th Street.

Arrest Warrant – On July 6, police issued an arrest warrant against Daniel Garcia, 38, with the original charge of simple assault stemming from an incident on the 900 block of Cumberland Street.

East Hanover Township

Fatal Pedestrian Accident – At approximately 3:49 p.m. Aug. 22, a 2016 Chevrolet driven by Michael Zimmerman, 62, of Harrisburg, was traveling west in the left lane of SR 22 near Racehorse Drive when the vehicle struck the concrete barrier on the left side of the road, drifted into the right lane and exited the road onto the right shoulder, striking a row of mailboxes. A pedestrian, Jill Staub, 51, of New Oxford, was retrieving mall and was struck by the vehicle, which continued through the grass and struck a utility pole, which broke in half. Staub died on the scene. Zimmerman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center, and a legal blood draw was obtained. The next of kin were notified. The investigation is ongoing.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving – At 12:02 p.m. Aug. 25, a three-vehicle crash occurred when a 2011 Ford Fusion driven by a 20-year-old Myerstown man was traveling north on SR 501 and prepared to make a left turn onto East Reistville Road. A 2020 Freightliner Cascadia feed truck driven by a 21-year-old Lewisberry man was also traveling north on SR 501, struck the Ford and proceeded to swerve off to the right side of the road, striking property on the 1500 block of Stiegel Pike. The Lewisberry man lost control of the Freightliner, causing it to enter the opposing lane where it flipped onto its side and struck a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 59-year-old Pine Grove man. The truck came to a rest blocking both the north and south lanes of SR 501. The Lewisberry man was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported via Western Berks Ambulance Association to Reading Hospital. The Myerstown man and the Pine Grove man were wearing seatbelts and sustained suspected minor injuries but refused transport. CJ Wagner’s and RJ Sells Towing assisted on the scene. Police charged the Lewisberry man with careless driving.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident – At 9:52 p.m. Aug. 19, a single-vehicle crash occurred on Weavertown Road, north of Pineapple Road. A 2005 BMW 325 driven by a 36-year-old Myerstown man was traveling at a high rate of speed north on Weavertown Road, south of Pineapple Road, traveled off the road, spun counter-clockwise, and traveled sideways across both lanes of Weavertown Road before striking a tree on the west side of the road, spinning clockwise and continuing north. The force split the BMW into two pieces. The rear end traveled northwest into a field. The front end continued north and struck a second tree. The BMW was towed from the scene by CJ Wagner’s Towing. It is unknown whether the Myerstown man was wearing a seatbelt. The Myerstown man sustained a suspected serious injury and was flown by Life Flight to Hershey Medical Center. Keystone Fire Company, Myerstown EMS, and Myerstown Fire Police assisted on the scene.

North Cornwall Township

Drug Possession – At 2:39 a.m. June 4, police charged Toby Rutter, 44, of Lebanon, with possession of narcotics after an incident on Penn Avenue.

DUI – At 5:45 p.m. June 25, police charged Abby Rowe, 25, of Lebanon, with DUI after an incident on Royal Road.

Disorderly Conduct – At 1:01 a.m. Aug. 6, police charged a 27-year-old Lebanon woman and a 33-year-old Lebanon man with disorderly conduct after an incident at Speedway.

North Lebanon Township

Aggressive Driving Detail – Police issued 90 traffic citations and 12 warnings during an aggressive driving campaign from July 23 through Aug. 20. There were 65 citations and seven warnings for speeding, five citations for license violations, 20 other traffic citations, one subject apprehended on a warrant, and five other warnings issued.

Access Device Fraud, Theft – On July 26, police received a report of a theft that occurred at Pharmaloz. Police determined that Miranda Reyes stole credit cards and a phone from another employee’s locker, then used the stolen credit card at several retailers throughout Lebanon County.

Retail Theft – On Aug. 21, police charged two juveniles with retail theft after an incident in which they stole over $200 in merchandise from Walmart.

Retail Theft – On Aug. 10, police charged Tabitha Light with retail theft after an incident at Walmart.

Retail Theft – On Aug. 11, police responded to Walmart for a retail theft in progress and issued a citation against Luis Quinones for retail theft.

Retail Theft – On Aug. 21, police responded to Walmart and found Amber Tillyard to be in possession of over $300 of stolen merchandise, which was retrieved from her vehicle.

Retail Theft – On Aug. 21, police received a report of a retail theft at Weis Market. Police identified the subject as Patrick Burdo of Philadelphia. Police charged Burdo with felony retail theft.

Theft – On June 6, police received a report of an employee stealing from Walmart. Police determined that Joan Sanchez was fraudulently activating gift cards, totaling over $250.

DUI – On July 20, police investigated a crash that occurred at the intersection of North 8th Avenue and East Maple Street. Police determined that Brittany Lutz of Newmanstown crashed her vehicle into a utility pole. Lutz was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage at the time and was arrested for DUI. Lutz’s blood alcohol content at the time of the incident was twice the legal limit.

North Londonderry Township

Drug Possession, Expired Inspection Violation – Police charged Tyler Deraco, 34, of Lebanon, with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an expired inspection violation after an incident at 1:50 p.m. April 28 on the 1100 block of West Main Street.

Palmyra Borough

DUI, Duties at Stop Signs, Careless Driving – At approximately 7:58 p.m. July 9, police responded to the 00 block of North Grant Street for a report of a tan Toyota failing to stop at a stop sign and driving into a field. Police identified the driver as 22-year-old Michael Hernandez-Marte, placed Hernandez-Marte under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported him to WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital for a legal blood draw. Blood results showed that Hernandez-Marte’s BAC was 0.235% at the time of the incident. On Aug. 3, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Garver’s office, charging him with DUI-incapable of safe driving, DUI-highest rate of alcohol, duties at stop signs, and careless driving.

Defiant Trespass – On July 20, police responded to a property on the 800 block of West Cherry Street, where the property owner disclosed that her neighbor, Amisha Cerankowski, 22, trespassed on her property at approximately 4:15 p.m. June 30. Cerankowski had done so despite numerous “No Trespassing” signs in the property owner’s yard and the property owner having previously told Cerankowski numerous times to stay off of her property. On Aug. 9, one count of defiant trespass was filed with MDJ’s office against Cerankowski.

DUI, Driving While Suspended, Registration Required – At approximately 3:47 a.m. July 20, police pulled over a gold Nissan Altima on the 700 block of East Main Street. Police determined that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Clifford Earle, 60, was under the influence of alcoholand placed Earle under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Blood results showed that Earle’s BAC was .160% at the time of the incident. On Aug. 14, a criminal complaint was filed with MDJ Garver’s office, charging Earle with DUI-general impairment, DUI-highest rate of alcohol, driving while suspended, and registration required.

South Lebanon Township

DUI, Reckless Driving, Immediate Notice of Accident To Police Department – At approximately 9:08 p.m. Aug. 1, police responded to the 100 block of East Evergreen Road for an erratic complaint. Police made contact with the suspected vehicle and driver in a neighboring municipality. The driver, William Halsell Jr., 77, appeared to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Blood results showed that Halsell’s BAC was 0.223% at the time of the incident. Police charged Halsell with DUI-highest rate of alcohol, DUI-incapable of safe driving, reckless driving, and immediate notice of accident to police.

Bench Warrant – Brandon Weaver, 25, is wanted by South Lebanon Township police for possession of drug paraphernalia, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property, and required financial responsibility.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 4:32 p.m. Aug. 13, a 2016 Chrysler Town & Country minivan driven by a 29-year-old Lebanon man was traveling east on SR 22 when he almost missed his exit while traveling in the right lane. The Chrysler exited the road and struck a guide rail on the left side of the road. The Chrysler was towed from the scene by Porrini Towing. The man was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries. Police charged him with driving vehicle at safe speed.
