Annville Township

DUI Crash – At 11:08 p.m. Sept. 8, a 35-year-old Allentown man crashed a 2017 Toyocar van container trailer while under the influence of alcohol on Fisher Avenue at Kreiderheim Lane.

City of Lebanon

Arrest Warrant – On Sept. 19, police issued an arrest warrant for Thaddeus Muldrow, 44, with the original charges being aggravated assault and possession of firearm prohibited.

Simple Assault – On Aug. 25, police charged Allen Hower, 19, with simple assault (domestic violence) after he was involved in a domestic dispute on the 400 block of Cherry Street. The female victim said they got into an argument, and Hower struck her multiple times in the chest and back with a dog lease.

Indecent Exposure, Open Lewdness – On Aug. 22, police charged Michael Beenick, 36, with indecent exposure and open lewdness after police were called to the 700 block of Chestnut Street for a well-being check. A witness observed Beenick urinating in a public area before police arrived.

Simple Assault – On Aug. 23, police charged Steven Villa, 49, with simple assault (domestic violence) after he was involved in a domestic dispute on the 00 block of Maple Street. The female victim said Villa placed his hands around her neck and applied pressure, causing redness, and struck her head with a closed fist.

Disorderly Conduct, False Identification to Law Enforcement, Public Drunkenness – On Aug. 21, police charged Haley Joppy, 28, with disorderly conduct (engage in fighting), false identification to law enforcement, and public drunkenness after police were called to Turkey Hill, 1201 W. Maple St., for a disturbance. Joppy was being loud, screaming obscenities and trying to fight with numerous customers. Joppy had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, and she provided a false name to officers.

Retail Theft – Sometime between March 27 and July 31, an unidentified female took $535 worth of merchandise from Weis Market, 800 S. 12th St. A tip came through CRIMEWATCH identifying Lorraine Klepper, 68, as the offender who failed to scan numerous items at the self-check-out register.

Retail Theft – On July 28, police charged Emmajean Wolfe, 42, with retail theft (under ring) after she was found to be under-ringing merchandise on two occasions at Weis Market, 800 S. 12th St. Wolfe repeatedly scanned a lower-priced item for other higher-priced items for a total loss of merchandise worth $312.54.

Forgery – On July 11, police charged Amanda Stickler, 36, with forgery (unauthorized act in writing) after she falsified four doctor’s notes and presented them to Lebanon County Adult Probation.

Robbery, Persons Not to Possess Firearm – On Sept. 17, police responded to Sunoco Gas Station, 135 S. 12th St., for an armed robbery. A store clerk told police that a subject entered the store, pointed a firearm at her, and demanded she give him all the money. The clerk turned over an undetermined amount of cash, but told police she recognized the subject because he was a regular customer. Police reviewed video surveillance footage of the robbery and were able to identify the subject in the footage from prior contact. Police apprehended the subject without incident and charged Omar Miranda, 19, with robbery (inflict/threaten bodily injury) and persons not to possess a firearm. He was arraigned before MDJ Dissinger. Bail was set at $75,000.

Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer, Registration and Certificate of Title Required – On Aug. 25, police charged Anthony Abreu, 20, with fleeing or attempting to elude officer, registration and certificate of title required, required financial responsibility, duties at stop signs, reckless driving, and classes of license/class after he operated a dirt bike on the 800 block of Guilford Street without a registration plate. When police attempted to pull him over, Abreu fled from officers, traveling through numerous stop signs without stopping and illegally passing other vehicles while fleeing. Abreu was apprehended on the 400 block of North 13th Street.

Harassment – Police charged a 52-year-old Lebanon man at 7:04 p.m. Sept. 1 on the 00 block of South 9th Street.

Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 46-year-old Lebanon man at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 in the Lebanon Village parking lot.

Theft of Services – Police charged a 32-year-old Lebanon man at 10:45 a.m. Sept. 2 on the 00 block of South 8th Street.

Public Drunkenness – Police charged a 53-year-old Lebanon man at 1:19 a.m. Sept. 3 on the 1100 block of Federal Street.

Possession of Malt or Brewed Beverages – Police charged a 63-year-old Lebanon man at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 3 on the Rails to Trails Path at South 12th Street.

Disorderly Conduct – Police charged a 40-year-old Lebanon man at 12:29 p.m. Sept. 4 on the 400 block of Lehman Street.

Dogs Running at Large – Police charged a 33-year-old Lebanon man at 4:01 p.m. Sept. 6 on the 900 block of Mifflin Street.

Possession of Malt or Brewed Beverages – Police charged a 42-year-old Lebanon man at 12:25 p.m. Sept. 8 on the 1100 block of the Rails to Trails Path.

Harassment – Police charged a 33-year-old Lebanon man at 12:17 p.m. Sept. 11 on the 700 block of Guilford Street.

Disorderly Conduct – Police charged a 43-year-old Lebanon man at 2:10 p.m. Sept. 12 on the 700 block of Cumberland Street.

East Hanover Township

Theft – On Sept. 14, it was reported to police that a 19-year-old Ono man had his bank account compromised, and $5,980 was withdrawn without authorization.

Heidelberg Township

Lost Firearm – At 12:27 a.m. Sept. 14, police responded to Oxford Drive for a report of a lost firearm. Police believe the North American Arms silver revolver with black folding grip, valued at $500, fell out of the owner’s satchel while hiking on Middle Creek Trail.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident, Traffic-Control Signals – At 3:47 p.m. Sept. 12, a 2011 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 51-year-old Newmanstown man was traveling south on Wintersville Road at East Lincoln Avenue when it struck a northbound 2012 Ford Focus driven by a 18-year-old Newmanstown man. The Ford was attempting to turn left onto East Lincoln Avenue before the Jeep passed through the intersection. The Ford sustained disabling front-end damage and was towed from the scene. The Jeep sustained functional damage and was able to drive away. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, sustained no injuries, and declined medical treatment. Police charged the 18-year-old with traffic-control signals.

Millcreek Township

Vehicle Accident, Vehicle Turning Left – At 8:16 p.m. Sept. 9, a crash occurred on North Sheridan Road at Willow Street involving a 2015 Nissan Rogue driven by a 38-year-old Womelsdorf woman and a 2018 Dodge Durango driven by a 59-year-old Myerstown man. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and no injuries were reported. Police charged the Womelsdorf woman with vehicle turning left.

Sexual Abuse – At 10:31 p.m. Sept. 11, a man was charged with sexually abusing his niece, a 17-year-old Myerstown female, on Progress Drive.

Pedestrian-Vehicle Accident – At 2:17 a.m. Sept. 16, a crash occurred on South Sheridan Road at Memorial Boulevard involving a pedestrian, a 28-year-old Newmanstown man, and a 2017 Audi A4 driven by a 26-year-old Newmanstown man. White sustained a suspected serious injury and was transported via Newmanstown VFC Ambulance to Reading Hospital. Weaver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Police charged White with pedestrians crossing at other than crosswalks.

Myerstown Borough

Theft – At 2:40 p.m. Aug. 18, four white males approached a residence on the 100 block of West Main Avenue and took a package of drink mix, valued at $5, from the front porch. The theft was captured on video. The victim was a 43-year-old Myerstown woman.

North Cornwall Township

Theft, Drug Possession – At 6:25 p.m. Aug. 22, police arrested Aaron Merwine, 31, of Lebanon, on 16th Street for theft, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fleeing Police, DUI, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, No Motorcycle License – At 9:12 p.m. Aug. 25, police arrested Carlos Guzman-Nieves, 28, of Lebanon, on the 1600 block of Cumberland Street for fleeing police, DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, no motorcycle license, no registration, and no proof of insurance.

Vehicle Accident – At 12:12 p.m. Aug. 26, a vehicle driven by a 76-year-old Lebanon woman was turning left from South 20th Street onto Chestnut Street and did not observe a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Lebanon woman. The vehicles collided. One person was taken to the Hershey Medical Center. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Vehicle Accident – At 3:19 p.m. Aug. 31, a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Lebanon man was traveling east on Walnut Street. The man said he stopped for the stop sign at Walnut and South 16th streets. When he turned into the intersection, a vehicle driven by another Lebanon man collided with the first vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Drug Possession – At 12:28 p.m. Aug. 29, police arrested a 31-year-old Fredericksburg woman and a 30-year-old Lebanon ma on the 1800 block of Center Street for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Simple Assault – At 11:17 p.m. Sept. 3, police arrested Shanice Del Rio, 24, of Lebanon, on Carlton Drive for simple assault.

Trespassing – At 2:10 a.m. Sept. 3, police arrested a 40-year-old New York woman and a 35-year-old Lebanon man at Snitz Creek Park for trespassing in the park after it was closed.

Warrant – At 3:37 p.m. Sept. 6, police pulled over a vehicle driven by James Gates, 27, of Lebanon, at Lowe’s. Gates was found to have a warrant from the Lebanon County Sheriff’s office and was taken to LCCB.

Warrant – At 6:15 p.m. Sept. 10, police arrested Wilfredo Prado-Perez, 58, of Lebanon, on Chestnut Street for warrants and transported him to LCCB.

North Lebanon Township

Retail Theft – Police charged Melvin Rivera-Colon, of Lebanon, after he attempted to take over $180 worth of merchandise from Walmart on Aug. 24.

Drug Possession – On Sept. 9, police received a complaint of drug activity on the 600 block of East Maple Street. Police found Jeziel Reyes, of Lebanon, in his vehicle in possession of marijuana.

North Londonderry Township

Simple Assault – Police were informed of an assault that occurred at Palmyra Area High School at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 31. A 15-year-old Palmyra male slapped a 14-year-old Palmyra juvenile across the face, causing a nose injury that required surgery due to the extent of his injuries. Police charged the 15-year-old Palmyra male with simple assault.

Vehicle Accident, Careless Driving – At 2:08 p.m. Sept. 11, a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Myerstown man was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Jonestown woman. The Myerstown man’s vehicle was stopped for a red light on the 1200 block of West Main Street when it was struck. The Jonestown woman admitted to looking away from traffic while driving and did not see the Myerstown man’s vehicle stopped in front of hers. No injuries were reported. Police charged the Jonestown woman with careless driving.

Theft By Deception – At 1:30 p.m. Sept. 16, police arrested Sorin Boroiban, 39, of Houston, Texas, after an incident at Walmart in which Boroiban fraudulently claimed he did not receive cash from the cashier. He has been involved in the same scam throughout the U.S.

Palmyra Borough

Driving Vehicle without Ignition Interlock Device, Vehicle Equipment Violation – On Aug. 14, police pulled over a vehicle driven by Travis Reber, 34, on the 700 block of East Main Street for a headlight out. During the stop, police learned that Reber had an ignition interlock license but did not have the device properly set up in his vehicle. Charges of driving vehicle without ignition interlock device and vehicle equipment violation were filed against Reber through MDJ Garver’s office on Sept. 7.

Public Drunkenness – At 6:37 p.m. Sept. 13, police responded to the 500 block of East Main Street and located a visibly intoxicated man lying on the ground. A 73-year-old man was issued a non-traffic citation for public drunkenness.

Harassment By Communication – On Sept. 19, police filed charges of harassment by communication against Joshua Gettle, 38, through MDJ Garver’s office. Charges stem from an incident reported to police on June 7 on the 600 block of West Main Street. Gettle is accused of sending unsolicited sexually explicit images of himself to the victim.

Theft By Deception – On Sept. 20, police filed charges of theft by deception against Lamir Wallace, 25, through MDJ Garver’s office. Charges stem from an incident on Feb. 1 at Goodwill Industries, 901 E. Main St., in which Wallace passed a counterfeit $50 bill.

Altered, Forged, or Counterfeit Documents and Plates – On Sept. 3, police located a vehicle on the 100 block of South Railroad Street that was displaying a counterfeit/fraudulent Delaware registration. On Sept. 7, police charged the owner of the vehicle, Yani Pressley, 23, with altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates.

Harassment – At 1:40 a.m. Sept. 15, police were detailed to Gary’s Bar for a reported domestic dispute. Police charged a 30-year-old woman with harassment.

South Londonderry Township

Bicycle-Vehicle Accident – At 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10, police investigated a crash at Elizabethtown and Eckert roads (Rails to Trails crossing). A bicycle ridden by a 15-year-old Elizabethtown male proceeded without clearance and struck the side of a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old Manheim man, accompanied by a 57-year-old Manheim woman on Eckert Road. The juvenile was transported to the hospital for injuries. The Manheim couple had the right-of-way when the crash occurred.

Vehicle Accident – At 5:36 p.m. Sept. 13, police investigated a crash that occurred at Lyndel Drive and Lawn Road. A vehicle driven by a 43-year-old Palmyra man proceeded without clearance and struck a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Hershey man, accompanied by a 6-year-old Hershey female. The Hershey man had the right-of-way when the crash occurred. The Palmyra man was issued a stop sign citation.

Vehicle Accident – At 3:36 p.m. Sept. 13, a Subaru Forester driven by a 21-year-old Lebanon woman crashed into the rear of a Jeep Cherokee driven by a 68-year-old Myerstown woman. The Jeep was stopped in traffic on the 2400 block of Horseshoe Pike. No injuries were reported. The Subaru was towed from the scene. The Jeep was able to be driven from the scene. Campbelltown Fire assisted on the scene.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – At 3:50 p.m. Sept. 10, a crash occurred on Kenbrook Road at Pine Meadow Road involving a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Richland man, accompanied by a 22-year-old Lebanon man, and a vehicle driven by a 70-year-old Lebanon man. All were wearing seatbelts, and no injuries were reported.

Dog Law Violation – At 11:24 a.m. Sept. 17, police responded to Lighthouse Drive for a report of a dog law violation. The victim, a 25-year-old Jonestown woman, reported that she was walking her leashed dog on Hillcrest Drive when a neighbor’s dog broke through its fenced-in area, biting the victim’s dog and causing bleeding to its neck/head area. The dogs were separated without further incident.

Vehicle Accident, Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed – At 7:24 p.m. Sept. 10, a 2009 Kia Sedona driven by a 31-year-old Lebanon woman was traveling north on Quarry Road, left its lane of travel while negotiating the left turn and struck a brick mailbox. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Kia was towed from the scene by Blatt & Tillett Towing. Police charged her with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – At 6:02 p.m. Sept. 10, a crash occurred on the 500 block of Old Forge Road. A 2001 Toyota was traveling east and struck a legally parked 2018 Honda Civic. Both vehicles remained drivable. No injuries were reported.

DUI – At 12:28 a.m. Sept. 11, a 34-year-old Jonestown man was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Promaster while under the influence of alcohol on SR 72 and Jonestown Road.

Harassment – At 10:31 a.m. Sept. 15, police responded to SR 72 for a disturbance/noise complainant. The victim, a 27-year-old Jonestown woman, reported to police that a 29-year-old Lebanon man sent threatening text messages to her on the evening of Sept. 14. On Sept. 15, the man arrived at the victim’s place of employment and continued to text her, causing her to fear for her safety. Police charged him with harassment.

Vehicle Accident – At approximately 2:31 p.m. Sept. 16, a three-vehicle crash occurred as a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup driven by a 30-year-old Lebanon man was slowing/stopping on SR 72 North to make a left turn onto Camp Meeting Road. A 2015 Ford F250 Supercab driven by Merek Piotroski, 29, of Jonestown, struck the rear end of the Dodge. The Ford was then struck in the rear by a 2019 Honda Civic driven by a 30-year-old woman of Frisco, Texas. Piotroski, the Lebanon man, and the Texas woman were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. Piotroski was later transported to PSP Jonestown for being under the influence of alcohol.

West Lebanon Township

Confinement of Dog – On Sept. 15, police received a complaint of a dog running at large in the area of Guilford and 22nd streets. Police charged the dog’s owner, Lizabeth Angueira-Alameda, with misdemeanor confinement of dog, as this has been an ongoing occurrence.
