We Are Lebanon, Pa is a positivity project to tell stories of citizens of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Today’s story just happens to be 100 years old…

Bicycles have a long history here in Lebanon and there’s many carrying on the tradition today.

In 2017 local artist and bicycle enthusiast Matt Kreider arranged an event to reenact a picture taken on Oct. 20, 1923. Along with that photo, he had other memorabilia documenting Lebanon’s bicycle history.

Enjoy this brief history and please share your knowledge and memories of historical bike makers in Lebanon!

(Special thanks to A. Leonard Pundt Photography for donating his time to this project.)
