Three people perished overnight after a fire engulfed a residence in North Londonderry Township, according to an ABC-27 news report.

The home is located on the first block of Patton Road. An ABC-27 photographer who was on scene said that the home was still standing, but appeared to be “partially gutted” with heavy damage in the garage area.

ABC-27 spoke with North Londonderry Township Police Chief Kevin Snyder, who said that six people were inside at the time of the fire and all were transported to Penn State Hershey Medical Center, where three of the individuals died afterwards.

ABC-27 reported that fire crews had to pump in water due to the lack of hydrants nearby and were fighting the fire for hours Sunday morning. The report said that the Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal is investigating.

Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services dispatch logs indicate that calls first came in for a structure fire with entrapped individuals shortly before 1:50 a.m. Sunday morning, Jan. 21.
