The Lebanon County Council of Republican Women will host its annual Republican Candidates Night on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Heisey’s Diner.
All statewide Republican candidates are invited to attend, as well as candidates representing the 9th Congressional District, state House candidates for the 101st, 102nd and 98th districts, and candidates for delegate. According to a release from the council, all state House candidates have said they will attend, along with two delegate candidates.
Each candidate will be given five minutes to speak. No question-and-answer period is scheduled, although attendees are encouraged to mingle with candidates and ask questions. Ballot petitions will be available for attendees to sign.
The forum is open to the public at no charge. Light refreshments will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a perishable food item or hygiene product to be donated to a local food bank.
The Lebanon County Council of Republican Women meets the first Tuesday of each month and is an affiliate of the Pennsylvania Federation of Republican Women. Besides working to strengthen the Republican Party, advance women in political knowledge and political activity, and promote honest government and unselfish patriotism, the organization donates shoes to children and civics books to libraries across Lebanon County.
