A fourth-generation, Manheim-based excavating and paving firm has acquired a property at Evergreen Road and State Drive, but does not have any immediate plans for developing it.

B.R. Kreider & Sons acquired the 16.76-acre property at 0 State Drive from Abe Harounzadeh and George E. Christianson for $735,000 in a transaction that closed earlier this month.

B.R. Kreider & Sons has an existing Lebanon location at 28 Evergreen Road.

Company president Brent Kreider said that the firm is still in the early stages of discovery and potential uses of the property and does not have a defined plan at this time.

No plans have been submitted to South Lebanon Township for the property, which is zoned for industrial use.

B.R. Kreider & Sons was founded in 1936 and, according to Lancaster Newspapers coverage from last year, operates with 245 employees and makes approximately $57 million in annual sales. The company has multiple local job openings for its excavating division, including roles as a backhoe operator, CDL driver, and operator assistant.
