LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Cali!
Cali is between one and two years old. According to a Humane Society of Lebanon County representative, she “was brought in to us as a stray with a compound fractured leg.” Unfortunately, x-rays showed the worst, and “it was determined that she needed to have her leg amputated to give her a better quality at life.”
Life as a tripod hasn’t stopped Cali from enjoying life to the fullest.
“She is a sweet girl who likes to watch the birds from the window and will greet you with many head bumps,” the shelter rep said. “She is a talkative girl when she is ready to eat,” although, she added, “she would do better in a home with no other animals at this time. We do not know that if with time if she would adjust to another fur baby or not. She is still learning the way of only having three legs so she … will need a time to adjust to her new surroundings.”
If you are interested in adopting Cali, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
