Heidelberg Township is expanding its Hometown Heroes banner program, a program that honors local service members.
In a statement, the Heidelberg Township Board of Supervisors said it hopes the program will create a “living tribute” to those who have served.
Each banner will include a picture of the service member, their branch of service, rank, and dates served. All banners will be located on streets within Heidelberg Township.
Township supervisors is asking for those who would like to submit a banner to contact Jennifer Snyder at jsnyder@heidelbergtownship.com or call the township office at (717) 949-3885.
All costs associated with the banners will be the responsibility of the applicant, whether through direct funding or business/individual sponsorship, at $200/each.
The deadline to submit a banner is 3 p.m. on May 3. Find an application form here (PDF).
