As spring unfolds, the Lebanon Valley Expo Center & Fairgrounds, located at 80 Rocherty Road, Lebanon, is the venue for a range of engaging events this May. Whether you are a dog enthusiast or a gardening aficionado, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Lebanon County Master Gardener’s Plant and Seed Sale Distribution (May 4)
Green thumbs and gardening enthusiasts will delight in the Lebanon County Master Gardener’s Plant and Seed Sale, returning this year to the Brightbill Barn at the Lebanon Valley Exposition Center & Fairground. On May 4, from early morning, visitors can choose from over 5,000 plants, including native species, perennials, herbs, annuals, and vegetable starts like heirloom tomatoes and peppers.
In addition to plant sales, the event will feature educational displays, self-guided tours of the Master Gardeners’ Demonstration Gardens, and the opportunity to consult with expert gardeners at the โAsk a Gardening Questionโ station. Bring your own wagon to carry your plants, and be ready to make purchases with cash, check, or credit card. Proceeds from the sale will support future community programs and projects by Lebanon County PSCE Master Gardeners. Lancaster Kennel Club-Red Rose Classic Dog Show (May 11)
Celebrate a century of canine excellence at the Lancaster Kennel Clubโs 80th Annual Red Rose Classic All Breed Dog Show and Rally Trials. Scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, this event promises a display of top-tier dogs vying for the prestigious Best In Show title. Admission is free, though there is a $5 per vehicle parking fee. Due to safety considerations, only dogs entered in the show are permitted on-site, and strollers are not allowed in the show or grooming areas.
For those who canโt attend the Westminster Kennel Club Show, the Red Rose Classic offers a family-friendly alternative to see some of the finest dogs in conformation.
