Installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Route 72 and Isabel Drive in North Cornwall Township has been delayed until this summer, PennDOT announced Monday.

The work had previously been announced as getting underway on Monday, May 13. PennDOT said in a release on Monday, May 6, that work will instead begin sometime after this year’s Fourth of July holiday.

PennDOT said that it would issue a new schedule once available. The project is still expected to be complete by Oct. 25.

Isabel Drive will be closed for 14 days at some point as part of the work, although PennDOT has not specified when during the project the closure would occur. A detour map is below.

As part of the project, PennDOT contractor JVI Group Inc. will install a new traffic signal, ADA crossing ramps, and updated drainage at the intersection.
