As part of a statewide initiative to show appreciation for bus riders, Lebanon Transit will offer free rides on Wednesday, May 8.
This special event is called Rider Appreciation Day, and it is part of a collaboration between the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association (PPTA) and transit agencies across the state. On this day, many transit agencies will be offering customers complimentary rides to show their continued ridership.
“Lebanon Transit is proud to participate in Rider Appreciation Days,” executive director Theresa Guirintano said in a release. “We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our Fixed Route bus customers to show that Lebanon Transit is here for our community.”
In addition to offering free rides, Lebanon Transit will set up a table at its transfer station located at 7th and Willow streets in the city from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The table will offer free LT-branded swag items to all customers who visit, and there will also be a raffle where three winners will receive four ticket vouchers each for Field Box Seats at the Lancaster Stormers during their Lebanon Ironmasters weekend games from May 31 through June 2. The Stormers will be renamed the Lebanon Ironmasters for the third year in a row in celebration of Lebanon’s rich baseball heritage.
