Bikes, Bites & Art will be held on Wednesday, May 15, to celebrate art, cycling and community in the Mount Gretna area.
The event, which runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hall of Philosophy, is hosted by Lebanon Bicycle Recycle, the Lebanon Valley Bicycle Coalition, and Mount Gretna Arts.
Activities will include a bicycle donation drive for the Lebanon Bicycle Recycle. Drop off used bikes and parts to be recycled and given back to the community.
Also, the Lebanon Valley Bicycle Coalition invites participants to join the International Ride of Silence, a 10-mile slow ride honoring those who have been killed while cycling. The ride departs from the Mount Gretna Hall of Philosophy at 6:30 p.m., travels along Route 177 to Colebrook, on Route 241 to Lawn and back to Mount Gretna.
Throughout the evening, guests can unleash their inner artist with Carrie Feit’s Bike Decals and a community painting session led by Ryan Fretz. The evening will also feature live music by Scott Galbraith, Castaneda’s Mexican Restaurant and the Happy Waffle food trucks, and brews from Lebanon Valley Craft Brewery.
The art is free, food and beer are available for purchase. For more information, send questions to Laurie Crawford at lebanonbicyclerecycle@gmail.com.
