LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Tora!
According to Taylor at the Humane Society of Lebanon County, Tora is a 10-year-old pit bull who was transferred from another shelter in 2021.
“Tora can be a bit shy and nervous around new people, so it may take a couple of visits to earn her trust,” Taylor says. “Once you do earn her trust, she is the most lovable, sweet and playful girl.”
Tora likes to maintain an active lifestyle, Taylor notes. “She enjoys running in our yards, chasing balls and playing with stuffies. Over the summer, she enjoys taking a quick dip in the kiddie pools we have for the dogs,” she says. “Tora does know sit and paw and is very treat motivated. She prefers to be the only queen in the castle and would thrive with no other animals in the home. Tora would do best with children over the age of 14.”
If you are interested in adopting Tora, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
