The on- and off-ramps on Interstate 78 at exit 6 (Lebanon/Fredericksburg/Route 343) will be closed on Tuesday, June 11, for a resurfacing project.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that maintenance crews will close the ramps for the day, and traffic will be detoured.
According to a June 6 release from PennDOT spokesman Dave Thompson, motorists approaching from northbound Interstate 81 should take exit 85 (Route 943 South/Annville) to Route 22 east to Route 343 north to I-78 exit 6. Motorists approaching from southbound I-81 should take exit 90 (Route 72/Lebanon) to Route 72 south to Route 22 east to Route 343 north to I-78 exit 6.
These routes can also be used in reverse order to access I-81 from I-78 exit 6, Thompson said in the release.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways online by visiting 511PA.com, by downloading the 511PA smartphone application, or by calling 5-1-1.
