Bethel Township

Theft items from motor vehicle – In the early morning hours of June 5, this incident occurred on SR 22 in which several items were stolen from the victim’s vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

City of Lebanon

DUI – At 3:57 a.m. June 8, police stopped a 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport driven by Elizabeth Atkinson, 30, of Lebanon, on the 500 block of Pershing Avenue for a traffic violation. During the stop, police determined that Atkinson was DUI. Police arrested Atkinson for DUI and took her for a blood test. Charges are pending blood results.

Assault – Around 1 p.m. June 5, law enforcement personnel with the Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown station and the Lebanon City Police Department were investigating a theft incident on North 8th Street. During questioning, Eliezel Rivera Retamar, 25, of Lebanon, fled the scene on foot. Law enforcement personnel pursued Rivera Retamar on foot. While attempting to take Rivera Retamar into custody, he continued to attempt to flee and resisted arrest. Rivera Retamar was eventually taken into custody with the assistance of additional responding officers. During this incident, a PSP trooper was injured and treated at the Hershey Medical Center. Rivera Retamar was charged accordingly and was remanded to LCCF, unable to post bail.

Simple assault, harassment – Police charged Keanu Gonzalez, 26, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) and harassment after police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 900 block of Chestnut Street.

False identification to law enforcement, resisting arrest, public drunkenness – Police charged Erick Cruz-Lopez, 25, with false identification to law enforcement, resisting arrest, and public drunkenness after police responded to a report of suspicious activity on the 900 block of C&L Street.

PFA order violation – Police charged Jesse Kissinger, 25, with violation of a PFA order after police responded to an incident on the 500 block of Canal Street.

Simple assault, harassment – Police charged Catherine Breeding, 36, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) and harassment after police responded to a disturbance on the 00 block of South 8th Street.

DUI – Police charged Alexander Bonilla, 30, with DUI (controlled substance) after a traffic stop on the 700 block of Lehman Street.

DUI, one-way roadways, driving while suspended – Police charged Tommie Hensley, 52, with DUI (alcohol), one-way roadways, and driving while suspended after a traffic stop in the area of 12th and Poplar streets.

Driving while suspended – Police charged Timothy Johnson, 53, with driving while suspended (DUI-related) after a traffic stop on the 600 block of Walnut Street.

False identification to law enforcement, public drunkenness – Police charged Alexander Oquendo-Ortiz, 33, with false identification to law enforcement and public drunkenness after police responded to an incident on the 00 block of South 9th Street.

Simple assault – Police charged Canyon Koch, 26, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 300 block of Park Avenue.

DUI, one-way roadways – Police charged River Etherington,19, with DUI (controlled substance) and one-way roadways after a traffic stop on the 1100 block of Cumberland Street.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle accident, registration required – At 4:07 p.m. June 7, a 2017 Honda CRV driven by a 68-year-old Grantville man, accompanied by a 64-year-old Grantville man, a 10-year-old Grantville female juvenile, and a 4-year-old Grantville male juvenile, was stopped at a stop sign on Gravel Hill Road at its intersection with SR 22. A 2024 Ford Escape driven by a 27-year-old Palmyra woman was traveling east on SR 22 in the left lane when the Honda proceeded from the stop sign without proper clearance. The Honda then struck the Ford. The Honda sustained functional damage. The Ford sustained disabling damage. The driver of the CRV was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a possible injury, and was transported via Central Medical Ambulance. The passenger of the CRV was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Central Medical Ambulance. The 10-year-old juvenile was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The 4-year-old juvenile was in a front-facing child safety seat and sustained no injuries. The driver of the Escape was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Police charged the driver of the CRV with registration required. South Central Medical EMS, Northern Lebanon Fire and Emergency Services, and Joe May’s Towing also assisted on the scene.

Vehicle accident, following too closely – At 3:50 p.m. June 6, a 2013 Ford Taurus X driven by a 36-year-old Reading man was traveling north on SR 743. A 2009 Mercedes-Benz driven by a 69-year-old Annville woman was traveling behind the Ford on SR 743. The Ford stopped in the lane due to traffic. The Annville woman looked down to grab a drink and failed to observe the Ford stop. The Mercedes-Benz rear-ended the Ford. Both vehicles sustained functional damage. The Annville woman was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Reading man was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via South Central Medical EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. Police charged the Annville woman with following too closely.

Jackson Township

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle – Around 12:49 a.m. June 9, police responded to the 500 block of East Rosebud Road for a report of a runaway juvenile. This incident occurred as the juvenile entered the driver’s seat of a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban, which was parked in the garage at the address. The juvenile then backed out of the driveway and left the scene. Local police in Mechanicsburg later found the juvenile.

Vehicle accident, traffic-control signals – At 2:01 p.m. June 7, a 1996 Ford F250 Supercab driven by a 64-year-old Womelsdorf man was traveling east on SR 422. A 2019 Nissan Rogue driven by a 65-year-old Wernersville woman was traveling west on SR 422 and entered the intersection while the traffic light was still green to make a left turn onto Wintersville Road. The Ford proceeded through a red traffic light and hit the Nissan head-on in the middle of the intersection. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. The Womelsdorf man was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to the Hershey Medical Center. The Wernersville woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to the Good Samaritan Hospital. Police charged the Womelsdorf man with traffic-control signals.

PFA order violation – On June 6, police responded to Fernwood Drive for a PFA order violation. During the investigation, police found the arrestee, Daniel Werth, 34, of Palmyra, to have violated the conditions of the PFA via communication. Charges were filed with the courts. The victim was a 31-year-old Myerstown woman.

Harassment – On June 6, police responded to Fernwood Drive for a PFA order violation. During the investigation, police found the suspect to have sent more than 500 text messages and about 17 phone calls since June 2, which were all unwanted communication. The victim was a 31-year-old Myerstown woman.

Vehicle accident – Around 5:30 a.m. June 11, police responded to the area of the 300 block of King Street for a report of an unattended vehicle in the middle of the road with the front airbags deployed. Police arrived on the scene and determined that a 2021 Ford Explorer exited the road on the right shoulder and struck a mailbox. The Ford then became disabled as a result of the impact. It is unknown who was operating the Ford and whether they sustained any injuries. The Ford was towed from the scene by RJ Sells.

Myerstown Borough

Vehicle accident – Around 11:15 p.m. June 7, a 2013 Toyota Yaris was traveling west on West Lincoln Avenue in the left lane. The driver of the Toyota then decided to slow down for unknown reasons, which caused a 2008 BMW 328I to rear-end the Toyota. Both vehicles sustained minimal damage and were able to drive from the scene under their own power. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. A driver’s exchange and notice of crash report was given to both drivers on the scene. The driver of the BMW was issued a warning for following too closely.

North Lebanon Township

Accident involving damage to attended vehicle – On May 10, a 36-year-old man passed a bus carelessly while driving at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of his vehicle, struck another vehicle, and spun 180 degrees. He proceeded to leave the scene of the crash without stopping. Police charged the driver with accident involving damage to attended vehicle.

Retail theft – On May 29, Brianna Hetrick, 29, of Lebanon, failed to stop for $80.25 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 1355 E. Lehman St. Police charged Hetrick with retail theft.

DUI, reckless driving – On April 19, the driver, Michael Conti, 60, of Wyomissing, crossed four lanes of traffic, first striking the Avon Bridge and then striking the guide rail on both sides of the road before coming to rest. Conti’s blood result was positive for fentanyl. Police charged Conti with DUI and reckless driving.

Retail theft – On May 24, Darianna Montano-Jimenez, 41, of Lebanon, failed to pay for $106.83 worth of merchandise at Walmart. Police charged Montano-Jimenez with retail theft.

Retail theft – On May 16, Haydee Estrella, 41, of Lebanon, concealed items worth $74.92 and walked past all points of sale at Walmart. Police charged Estrella with retail theft.

Disorderly conduct – Police charged a 39-year-old Lebanon woman with disorderly conduct for having unreasonable music on June 10 on the 1100 block of Garden Avenue.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle accident, following too closely, driving while suspended – At 5:51 p.m. June 7, a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Palmyra woman was struck by a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old Rock Hill, SC, woman on the 1000 block of East Main Street. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Police charged the Rock Hill woman with following too closely, driving while suspended, and operation following suspension of registration.

Simple assault, harassment – At 3:45 p.m. May 12, this incident occurred at Flagship Cinema, 2 N. Londonderry Sq., in which Pernell Pendergrass, 55, of Lebanon, allegedly brandished a knife towards the victims over a dispute over a parking space. Police charged Pendergrass with simple assault (physical menace) and harassment.

Disorderly conduct – At 10:04 p.m. June 2, police charged a 17-year-old Palmyra male juvenile with disorderly conduct after he was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana on the 00 block of Eisenhower Road.

Vehicle accident – At 5:38 a.m. June 12, police responded to a single-vehicle accident on the 300 block of Palmyra Bellegrove Road involving a vehicle that was struck by a deer. Police arrived on the scene and observed a black Chevrolet Tahoe with driver’s side damage consistent with a deer strike. The driver, a 39-year-old Lebanon man, sustained no injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to airbag deployment.

South Lebanon Township

Accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property – Around 5:11 p.m. May 22, police responded to the scene of a hit-and-run crash. During the investigation, police learned that a tractor-trailer struck a vehicle and failed to stop at the scene. The tractor-trailer was followed from the scene by another motorist and was later stopped by police. Police charged the driver of the tractor-trailer, Lamar Hege, 48, with one count of misdemeanor accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, one count of summary duty to give information and render aid, and summary immediate notice of accident to police department.

Drug possession, violation of use of certificate of inspection – On May 24, police pulled over a vehicle on the 700 block of East Walnut Street. During the investigation, police learned that the vehicle was displaying counterfeit/fraudulent Pennsylvania inspection stickers. Police also learned that the driver of the vehicle, Shawn Moslak, 38, was in possession of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Police charged Moslak with one count of misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and summary violation of use of certificate of inspection.

Drug possession – On May 11, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Fox Ridge Lane. Police charged the driver of the vehicle, Angel Cruz-Rigual, 30, with one count of misdemeanor possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance (methamphetamine) and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Statutory sexual assault, rape of a mentally deficient victim, rape forcible compulsion – On Oct. 17, 2023, police began investigating the rape of a female juvenile. Police charged David Vazquez, 37, with felony statutory sexual assault, felony rape of a mentally deficient victim, felony rape forcible compulsion, felony sexual assault, felony corruption of minors, and misdemeanor indecent assault.

Vehicle accident – At 11:28 a.m. June 9, a Ford Escape driven by an 18-year-old Palmyra aman struck a Nissan Pathfinder driven by a 36-year-old Blue Bell man from behind while the Nissan was sitting in traffic on the 2800 block of Horseshoe Pike. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

Swatara Township

Criminal mischief under $1,000 – At 11:48 p.m. June 8, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Robert Foesig, 47, of Lebanon, struck traffic signs near New Bunkerhill Road and Thompson Avenue in an attempt to move them from the road before a construction area. Foesig then fled the scene in his vehicle. The victim was PennDOT. Charges for criminal mischief will be filed against Foesig through MDJ Wolfe’s office.

Vehicle accident, stop signs and yield signs – At 10:03 p.m. June 6, this crash occurred on SR 22 at its intersection with North Lancaster Street. This crash involved a 2006 Ford Ranger driven by a 17-year-old Lebanon male juvenile and a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 65-year-old Bernville man. The juvenile was wearing a seatbelt, sustained an injury of unknown severity, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center. The Bernville man was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained an injury of unknown severity, and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to the Hershey Medical Center. Police charged the juvenile with stop signs and yield signs.

Union Township

Vehicle accident – At 1:43 p.m. June 11, a 2023 Kenworth Northwest was attempting to leave a parking stall and struck a 2018 Freightliner in its driver’s side, causing minor damage. The Kenworth Northwest also sustained minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene under their own power. No injuries were reported.

Unspecified Township

Drug possession – PSP Jonestown is investigating an incident in which two inmates were discovered to be in possession of a suspected controlled substance. The investigation is ongoing.

Terroristic threats – PSP Jonestown is investigating an incident of alleged terroristic threats. The investigation is ongoing.

Sexual abuse – PSP Jonestown is investigating a ChildLine referral of alleged sexual abuse. The investigation is ongoing.

Firearm violation – PSP Jonestown is investigating a PICS denial in which a person attempted to purchase a firearm who is not permitted to do so.

Inappropriate contact – PSP Jonestown is investigating a report of alleged inappropriate contact amongst two juveniles. The investigation is ongoing.

Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department

Warrant served – At 7:10 p.m. May 31, police responded to Lucky’s Pizza in Palmyra for a wanted person. Police located the female in question and identified her as Kimberly Kastle, 32. Police determined that Kastle had an arrest warrant from Northumberland County for failing to report to adult probation. Police arrested Kastle on the warrant and transported her to LCCB without incident.

Burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property – Around 3:05 p.m. June 11, police were notified of a subject inside the former PACMA Mill, 475 E. High St., Palmyra. Police took the subject into custody after he attempted to flee. Police identified the subject as Timothy Costello, 54. Costello was wearing the same clothing as a subject previously observed on cameras removing wiring and electrical components inside the building. Police interviewed Costello, and he admitted to stealing wiring and electrical components from the building over the course of several weeks. Costello stole about $60,000 worth of property from the building, and a repair estimate indicated that it would cost $70,000 in labor to repair the damage. Police transported Costello to LCCB and arraigned him by MDJ Warner Jr. on charges of one count of felony burglary, one count of felony criminal trespass, one count of felony theft by unlawful taking, one count of felony receiving stolen property, and one count of felony criminal mischief. Bail was set at $100,000, and Costello was transferred to LCCF.

Warrant served, driving while suspended – Around 1:56 p.m. June 11, police pulled over a black GMC Acadia on the 400 block of East Main Street. Police identified the driver of the vehicle as Ethan Davis, 40. Police determined that Davis had an active bench warrant from the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear, with the original charge being theft by deception from the South Lebanon Township Police Department. The warrant was confirmed. Police placed Davis in handcuffs and transported him to LCCB on the warrant. Additionally, police charged Davis with summary driving while suspended.

Terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, harassment, public intoxication – On June 13, police responded to the 00 block of South Mark Street for a domestic dispute. During the investigation, police took Michael Robinson, 33, into custody and charged him with misdemeanor terroristic threats, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, misdemeanor harassment, and summary public intoxication. Police transported Robinson to LCCB.

Terroristic threats, simple assault, criminal mischief – Around 12 p.m. May 13, police responded to the 300 block of East Broad Street for a domestic situation involving a 15-year-old male juvenile who was physically assaulting and threatening another household member. Additionally, the juvenile damaged property within the residence. Police charged the juvenile with one count of terroristic threats, one count of simple assault, and one count of criminal mischief.

Burglary – The Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department is asking for assistance with identifying the two individuals (pictured below) regarding a burglary that occurred at 5:14 a.m. June 14 at Domino’s Pizza, 1405 E. Main St., Annville.
