The Swatara Township Board of Supervisors honored a longtime member of the township Zoning Hearing Board, who stepped down after serving the community for 18 years.
Tim Zimmerer was recognized by supervisors at their July 11 meeting, where they adopted a resolution of appreciation in Zimmerer’s honor.
Zimmerer was first appointed to the zoning board on Feb. 9, 2006, according to the resolution.
“Mr. Zimmerer has served Swatara Township with dignity, grace, humor and integrity throughout the last eighteen (18) years,” the resolution reads, further stating that supervisors “express their admiration and appreciation (of) Tim Zimmerer for his dedicated service to the residents of Swatara Township.”
