Bethel Township

Vehicle accident – Around 2:30 a.m. July 23, a crash occurred in a cul-de-sac surrounded by parking stalls along the perimeter in the 00 block of Brown Lane. An unknown vehicle was traveling north on Brown Lane and struck a legally parked 2014 Dodge Dart and a 2003 Chevrolet Impala.

Vehicle accident, required financial responsibility – At 12:26 p.m. July 29, a single-vehicle crash occurred on SR 22 at East Main Street. A 2020 Hyundai Venue driven by a 20-year-old Lebanon man was traveling west on SR 22, east of East Main Street, when it exited the road to the median and struck a road sign. The Hyundai sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Police charged the driver with required financial responsibility.

City of Lebanon

Drug possession – On July 27, police charged Carl Lewis, 48, and Robert Witman, 54, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after responding to a possible burglary in progress on the 200 block of Mifflin Street.

DUI – On July 22, police charged Ivan Lopez, 31, with DUI-controlled substance after police responded to a report of a disturbance on the 1000 block of Martin Street.

DUI – On July 26, police charged Anthony Ramos, 25, with DUI-alcohol and controlled substance after a traffic stop on the 1300 block of Mifflin Street.

Drug possession – On July 25, police charged Ali Meck, 38, with possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 200 block of South 4th Street.

Fleeing or attempting to elude an officer – On July 29, police charged Gage Nafzinger, 22, with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer and driving while suspended after a traffic stop that occurred on the 900 block of Cumberland Street.

Retail theft – On July 23, police charged David Curtier Jr., 39, after an incident on the 900 block of Cumberland Street.

Resisting arrest, drug possession – On July 23, police charged Dzaire Hill, 23, with evading arrest or detention on foot, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after he attempted to flee from an officer serving a warrant.

Drug possession – On July 23, police charged Vanessa Campana, 40, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident on the 700 block of Guilford Street.

Disorderly conduct, drug possession – On July 19, police charged Alianna Lentten-Colon, 20, with disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a disturbance in the area of 1st Avenue and East Weidman Street.

Simple assault – On July 13, police charged Hendrick Geertman, 56, after police responded to a disturbance on the 300 block of South 16th Street.

DUI – On July 25, police charged Donna Meyer, 54, with DUI-alcohol and driving on roadways laned for traffic after a traffic stop in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Guilford Street.

Arrest warrant – On July 31, police issued an arrest warrant for Shakira Borrero-Rosario, 27, with the original charge being aggravated assault-deadly weapon.

Arrest warrant – On Aug. 1, police issued an arrest warrant for Josue Rivera Rosario, 30, with the original charges being possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arrest warrant – On Aug. 1, police issued an arrest warrant for Koye Brown, 27, with the original charge being possession of drug paraphernalia.

Drug possession, DUI – On July 27, police charged Jonathan Delgado-Vergara, 35, with possession of a controlled substance, DUI-controlled substance, and general lighting requirements after a traffic stop on the 00 block of Lehman Street.

Drug possession – On July 31, police charged Frank Morales, 47, with possession of a controlled substance after an incident on the 500 block of North 8th Street.

Robbery, simple assault, terroristic threats – On July 28, police charged Tyshon Staten, 25, with robbery, simple assault, and terroristic threats after police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 1100 block of Jackson Boulevard.

Simple assault by physical menace – On July 31, police charged Allen Payne, 43, with terroristic threats and simple assault by physical menace after police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 100 block of East Walnut Street.

Package theft – Lebanon city police are investigating a package theft that occurred on the 00 block of South 2nd Street. The suspect (pictured below) removed packages from two adjacent porches and fled the area on foot. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the police department.

Cellphone theft – Lebanon city police are investigating a theft of a cellphone. The suspect (pictured below) is observed on video taking the phone. Anyone with information regarding his identity is asked to contact Patrolman Whitman or submit a tip through CRIMEWATCH.

Cleona Borough

Theft – On July 29, a theft of approximately $20,000 was reported to Cleona Borough police. The complainant responded to an email. The money was transferred out of his account. An investigation has been initiated.

Fleeing or attempting to elude an officer – On July 5, police charged Andrew Eby after he was seen operating a motorcycle recklessly on East Penn Avenue and fled from an officer after lights and sirens were activated. Police took Eby into custody on Tunnel Road.

Theft – On July 24, approximately $1,200 in merchandise was stolen from the Cleona Giant Food Store. A suspect has been identified and is possibly part of an organized ring.

Traffic citations – Cleona Borough police issued about 30 citations in Union and Swatara townships for failing to obey the road closure and detour signs. Any vehicle observed disobeying the Route 72 detour will be issued a citation of disobeying a traffic-control device.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle accident – At 12:45 p.m. July 31, a 2009 Kawasaki VN900 driven by a 48-year-old Denver man was traveling south on Hopeland Road at a high rate of speed. The Denver man was going over the crest of a hill and observed a 2020 Ford F150 driven by a 29-year-old Cressona man entering the road. The Denver man then fell off his motorcycle and slid on the road. The motorcycle struck the rear left tire of the Ford. The Denver man was not wearing a shirt or safety equipment, sustained injuries of unknown severity, and was transported via Newmanstown VFC Ambulance Corps to Reading Hospital. The Cressona man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. Police charged the Denver man with driving vehicle at safe speed.

Jackson Township

Theft of motor vehicle – At 2:46 a.m. July 3, police responded to the 400 block of Abbey Drive for a stolen blue 2012 GMC Sierra that was recovered by Northern Lebanon Police after a pursuit. It was discovered that an unknown actor(s) found the vehicle to be unlocked at the owner’s residence with the keys in it. The actor(s) then took the vehicle and drove it towards Lebanon City, fleeing from Northern Lebanon Police until crashing into a parked car and fleeing on foot. The victims were an 18-year-old Myerstown man and a 36-year-old Myerstown woman.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle accident – At 4:47 p.m. July 30, police charged a 50-year-old Palmyra man with driving vehicle at safe speed after his vehicle struck the back of a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old Palmyra man on South Lingle Avenue and Cambridge Road.

Possession with intent to deliver narcotics, theft by deception – On Aug. 1, three men were charged in connection with an incident at Walmart in August 2023. Police charged Shariel Vasquez, 20, of Lebanon, with possession with intent to deliver narcotics, possession of a controlled substance by an unlicensed person, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft by deception, and forgery. Vasquez attempted to pass an altered/forged money order inside the store, which led to police contact at his vehicle with Xabdiel Padilla-Santiago, 21, of Lebanon, and a 17-year-old Lebanon man. A large quantity of marijuana, along with over 60 blank money orders, were recovered during the investigation. Police charged Padilla-Santiago and the juvenile with possession with intent to deliver narcotics, possession of a controlled substance by an unlicensed person, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Richland Borough

Theft by deception – At 4 p.m. July 19, police responded to East Main Street and determined that a 56-year-old Richland man’s business checks were being fraudulently used by an unknown actor(s). Police are investigating.

Theft of motor vehicle – Sometime between 11 p.m. July 28 and 6 a.m. July 29, a white 2018 Jeep Compass was stolen from a location on Poplar Street. The victim, a 34-year-old Richland man, reported that a handgun, a black Ruger LCP .380, was left inside the vehicle. Police are investigating.

South Londonderry Township

Theft – Police are investigating the reported theft of a $400 garden cart from the 2400 block of South Forge Road. Around 11 a.m. July 29, someone removed the cart from the victim’s yard. A charcoal gray Dodge Ram operated by a white male in his mid- to late 60s with salt-and-pepper hair and a beard wearing a bright orange shirt had been seen on the property around the time the cart was discovered to be missing. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact South Londonderry Township police at 717-838-1376.

Vehicle accident – At 6:02 p.m. July 25, a GMC pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer driven by a 27-year-old Palmyra man was traveling on the 8000 block of Colebrook Road. The load on the trailer fell off, and when the Palmyra man got out of his truck to deal with that, his truck drifted down the street and collided with a Mazda SUV driven by a 54-year-old Lebanon man. No injuries were reported. The Mazda had to be towed from the scene. Lawn Fire assisted on the scene.

Vehicle accident – At 9:21 a.m. July 30, a Ford Escape driven by a 19-year-old Myerstown man collided with a Ford Explorer driven by a 79-year-old Annville man. The Annville man had the right of way when the Myerstown man made a left turn from Airport Road to Taxiway Drive. The impact caused the Ford Escape to collide with a GMC pickup truck driven by a 54-year-old New Cumberland man, which had been sitting at the stop sign on Taxiway Drive waiting to turn. The Myerstown and Annville men sustained minor injuries. The Escape and the Explorer were towed from the scene.

Western Lebanon County Regional Police

Park ordinance violation – At 11:58 p.m. July 23, police observed a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman at Quittie Park after dark and cited them with summary park ordinance violations.

Public drunkenness – At 9:07 p.m. July 28, police located a visibly intoxicated male on the ground on the 800 block of East Cherry Street. Police identified him as Matthew Eisner, 48. Eisner’s BAC was 0.231%. He was transported home and issued a non-traffic citation for summary public drunkenness.

DUI, other criminal charge, traffic violations – At 12:21 a.m. June 26, police stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations on the 500 block of East Walnut Street. Police identified the driver as Alec Lechleitner, 22, found him to be intoxicated, and placed him under arrest for DUI. Lechleitner’s BAC was 0.136% at the time of the stop. On July 22, police charged Lechleitner with misdemeanor DUI-high rate, misdemeanor DUI-general impairment, one other criminal charge, and six summary traffic violations.
