The historic Lebanon County “Hill Farm” property, located just north of Lebanon Valley College, was bought in June for $2 million by an LLC connected to Schuylkill County entrepreneur and inventor Millard F. Wallace.

The 23.8-acre North Annville Township property had previously been home to Hill Farm Estate Senior Living. The estate was built in 1919 by Aaron S. Kreider, a former United States congressman and LVC alumnus.

The property had been listed for $2.5 million in May 2023.

The property is zoned by North Annville Township as R-2 medium-density residential, which allows for single- and two-family housing, special care residential and retirement living complexes, and group family dwellings among the permitted uses.

As previously reported by LebTown, while the home could certainly work as a single-family dwelling – maybe an especially large family, with 46 private rooms outfitted – its best use is probably as some kind of personal care home, according to a 2023 interview with listing agent Nicholas Devitz of Coldwell Banker.

Or perhaps the compound could serve as a kind of Lebanon County version of Menlo Park?

Wallace is an inventor and entrepreneur with a focus on containers and trays, and patents in his name such as “Simultaneous production of nested, separable thermoformed articles,” “Shaped articles having peelable, perforated surfaces and their use for segregating particulate materials, such as in animal litter trays,” and “Liquid sequestering container with peelable detachable layers.”

He was previously recognized as the 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Schuylkill County Chamber of Commerce for his work with Clearly Clean. In March 2023, the Orwigsburg-based company was acquired by private equity firm Insight Equity Holdings LLC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Contacted through his attorney, Wallace did not respond to a LebTown request for comment.
