Palevo is incarcerated at State Correctional Institute Huntingdon on prior charges related to unlawful contact with a minor. He remained incarcerated throughout the course of the city police investigation.
Lebanon police said their investigation revealed that Palevo had raped and sexually assaulted a child in 2016.
Police conducted several interviews Palevo prior to filing charges against him this week, according to a news release.
Palevo faces five felony charges and two misdemeanors, including rape of child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with minor, and corruption of minors.
A preliminary hearing is currently scheduled for Sept. 26 in front of Magisterial District Judge Aurelis Figueroa.
