This back-to-school season, Lebanon Transit is offering student fare cards that will allow cardholders to ride the bus for any purpose at a discounted rate.
Students enrolled in local K-12, accredited colleges and universities, and trade schools are eligible to apply for a student fare card.
The free, brief application requires a valid 2024-25 school or student photo ID, a letter signed by the school, or a student ID or student fare card from the previous academic year.
Once students submit the application and receive a student fare card, they can board a Lebanon Transit fixed route bus, present their student fare card, and pay the reduced fare of $1.
Lebanon Transit, a premier public transportation agency in Pennsylvania that serves Lebanon County and surrounding areas, is an “exact change” agency. This means that riders must present the exact fare in change and that drivers cannot make change.
The Lebanon Transit routes and schedules can be viewed here.
Anyone who is new to or nervous about riding the bus can request free, personalized travel training through Lebanon Transit. Simply call (717) 274-3664 or email mritter@LebanonTransit.org to get started.
