The Lebanon Corps of the Salvation Army is hosting a free civic dinner on Thursday, Sept. 19, featuring guest speaker Tyler Pritchett, head football coach for Lebanon High School.
The event will start at 5 p.m. at Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church, 600 Shepherd St., Jonestown.
“The coach recently moved to Lebanon with his wife and baby and the goal to build community, teamwork, and, of course, a successful football program!” said advisory board president Melissa Heisler. “He will also share how God, community, and football are all part of rebuilding this program for the youth here in Lebanon County.”

Pritchett is a native of Alabama who played football at the Division I level for three years at the University of North Carolina before moving to Benedict College. He has also served as an offensive line coach and offensive coordinator.
Heisler said Pritchett has extensive experience in both on- and off-the-field mentorship and will share his plans to implement much-needed community programs while the new corps commanders set out to make a difference in the community as well.

Captain Kendall Mahida and Lt. Richard Mahida will also share their plans for the future of the Corps at the civic dinner, the first of which is the opening of a Client Choice Food Pantry on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
