The North Cornwall Township Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Tuesday, Sept. 17, around 7:30 p.m. on the 1700 block of Center Street.

In a news release, police said that they were called to the scene at approximately 7:28 p.m. Tuesday for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police said they found a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
A 17-year-old male was taken into custody as a suspect in the shooting. Police said charges have been filed against the juvenile for aggravated assault, simple assault, person not to possess a firearm, and other charges.
The 21-year-old man is being treated at a local hospital, police said.
The department is investigating the shooting as an isolated incident.

Lebanon city police, North Lebanon Township police, Cleona Borough police, and the Lebanon County Detective Bureau assisted in the location and apprehension of the suspect, according to the release.
