CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties is looking to increase the number of volunteers before the next Lebanon training class starts.

Since its inception in 2009, CASA of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties provides qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocates to children who are abused and neglected, to ensure the fundamental human right of having a safe, nurturing, and permanent home is met.

CASA volunteers are ordinary individuals who step forward to become extraordinary best-interest advocates for the vulnerable children we serve. They are sometimes the only consistent presence in a childโ€™s life during a tumultuous period. CASA volunteers are able to investigate, collaborate, and develop a deep understanding of the childโ€™s needs. Armed with that knowledge, they help provide critical information to judges and make recommendations aimed at securing safe and permanent homes for these children.

โ€œBecoming a CASA In-person Information Sessionโ€ will be held Wednesday, November 6th at 5:30 p.m. at the Palmyra Public Library, 50 Landings Drive, Annville, PA 17003. Our information session will cover the history of CASA, the role and duties of a CASA, and the next steps to joining our program. A current CASA will also be at the session to share their experiences. The session will be approximately 30-45 minutes in duration. Please visit www.casalancleb.org to register or to learn more about Court Appointed Special Advocates.
