State Senator Chris Gebhard (R-48) and state Rep. Jamie Barton (R-124) will host a veterans appreciation lunch on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Cabela’s in Hamburg.
The event, open to veterans residing in the 48th Senatorial District, will take place at 100 Cabela Drive, with check-in beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch and a program at noon.
Col. Frank Ryan (UMCR-retired), a former state representative and Iraq War veteran, will deliver the keynote address.
“The men and women who have defended the American ideals we hold dear have influenced the history of the country, ensuring that we can continue to enjoy our many freedoms,” Gebhard said in a release. “I look forward to personally thanking the veterans who are able to attend the lunch we are hosting.”

“There’s a certain enthusiasm in meeting with and talking to the people who embodied the principles upon which our great country was founded,” Barton added. “Sharing a meal and enjoying that fellowship is a healthy way to stay connected to these heroes.”
Veterans may bring a guest. Space is limited, and veterans must RSVP to Gebhard’s district office by calling 610-562-3411 or registering online.
