Annville restaurant Room 101 The Med announced on social media Thursday that it will close permanently in early November.
The restaurant at 35 W. Main St., Annville, is believed to be one of the first restaurants in Lebanon County to specialize in Mediterranean cuisine, as LebTown reported when it opened last year.

Owner and head chef Vito Mannino, whose father Salvatore Mannino was one of the founders of A&M Pizza, told LebTown that it was a childhood dream of his to own a restaurant someday.
The restaurant was considered to have some of the best food in Lebanon County, including a top review by LebTown partner Lebanon Valley Food Critics.

However, the restaurant ended up not being able to achieve enough local support to continue.
“We have had to make the default decision to close our doors permanently,” reads the announcement on social media. “We have not experienced the growth necessary to continue forward.”
The restaurant expressed appreciation for those who had supported it, and said that it will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until it close its doors for good on Saturday, Nov. 2. Those last two days โ Friday, Nov. 1, and Saturday, Nov. 2 โ will be reservation only.
