Lebanon city police announced Saturday morning that a 19-year-old man was killed Friday night in a motorcycle crash at 10th and Walnut streets.

Police said that they were called to the intersection of 10th Street (Rt. 72 South) and Walnut Street (Rt. 422 East) at approximately 9:15 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and a tractor trailer truck.

Police said the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Walnut Street and the tractor trailer was traveling south on 10th Street. The operator of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old Lebanon man, was found to be deceased.

The driver of the tractor trailer truck was interviewed by police, who said that additional information on the incident will be released at the conclusion of an ongoing investigation.

The victim was identified by police on Monday as Cameron Schollenberger. Police also identified Monday the driver of the truck, naming Cyreio Greene of Byram, Missouri. No charges have been filed so far against Greene.

“As the investigation remains active, the police are urging anyone with information to come forward and share their knowledge with the Lebanon City Police Department or submit a tip through Crimewatch,” said Lebanon police in the updated news release.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article indicated the victim was 18 years old based on the original police report. LebTown confirmed Monday morning with city police that the victim is now believed to have been 19 years old. We have updated the article accordingly.
