When you show up to the court with too much gear on – The Lebanon City Police Department thanks Steven CantEven for giving the community recognition to officers on Nov. 6. Shout out to Officer Seyfert, who has been with the department for almost a year, and Officer Weaver, almost two years. The department said in a release that it is dedicated to serving and protecting its citizens, and it is proud to have such a strong and positive relationship with the people it serves. This may look like a simple pick-up basketball game to some, but this is part of the department’s ongoing commitment to fostering a safer and more connected community. Let’s continue to work together to make a positive difference in the city of Lebanon.
2024 Lebanon Valley Year of the Arts – The Lebanon City Police Department was excited to celebrate 2024 Lebanon Valley Year of the Arts by bringing vibrant artwork from the community to the police department, starting with the children who attended this year’s National Night Out. From ages 2 to 12, they created their designs with markers, from police cars to happy little self-portraits! Lebanon High Schoolโs art teacher, Mr. Topping, had high school students create their designs with paint. Oh, what stunning pieces of artwork they created for the police department. It was a tough decision! But Lebanon City Mayor Sherry Capello voted one from each section to display on two patrol vehicles โ from National Night Out: Riley, age 11, and from LHS: Aryam Skerett Navarro, 10th grade. All other license plates are now displayed in the police station lobby. The police department wants to thank everyone who helped them with this project and shared their artwork with the community!

No puffers – What’s a puffer? It’s a car that’s left running, unlocked, and unattended. Puffers are easy targets for thieves! “I was only away from my car for a minute!” We hear this often. Whether youโre just running in to grab a cup of coffee or warming up the car before leaving for work, it only takes seconds to steal an unattended vehicle. Please donโt leave your car to warm up alone unless you have a remote-start function that keeps the vehicle locked and safe. Lock your car, take your keys, and hide your stuff. Follow these simple tips to protect your property and spare yourself the hassle and expense of having your car stolen. Itโs common sense but not common practice. As the weather turns, donโt be left out in the cold!
