Bethel Township
Vehicle accident – At 2:53 p.m. Nov. 21, a 2022 Jeep Compass driven by a 60-year-old Bethlehem woman was traveling east on SR 22, and a 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by a 36-year-old Myerstown woman was traveling south on Blue Mountain Road. The Volkswagen drove through a steady red light at the intersection and struck the Jeep, causing the Jeep to roll and knock a pedestrian crosswalk pole onto a fence. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. The Myerstown woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected minor injury, and was transported via Bethel Community Ambulance to Hershey Medical Center. The Bethlehem woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained an injury of unknown severity, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. Police charged the Myerstown woman with traffic-control signals.
City of Lebanon
DUI, careless driving – On Nov. 20, police charged Joel Meck, 42, with DUI-alcohol and careless driving after an incident in the area of 6th Avenue and East Lehman Street.
DUI, careless driving – On Nov. 15, police charged Brian Stoner, 50, with DUI-alcohol and careless driving after a traffic stop on the 700 block of Cumberland Street.
Terroristic threats, simple assault – On Nov. 18, police charged Jose Diaz-Feliz, 26, with terroristic threats and simple assault after an incident in the area of Lebanon Village.
Simple assault – On Nov. 19, police charged Glenn Connatser, 72, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after an incident on the 600 block of North 12th Street.
Arrest warrant – On Nov. 21, police issued an arrest warrant against Donavin Frescatore, 22, with the original charge being possession of a controlled substance.
Arrest warrant – On Nov. 21, police issued two arrest warrants against Roy Bupp, 62, with the original charges being possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Vandalism at City Hall – On Nov. 11, Lebanon city police initiated an investigation into vandalism at Lebanon City Hall after individuals threw several eggs at the windows of the mayor’s office and police department. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras. Multiple individuals have been interviewed, and others have been identified in connection with the incident. Retail theft – Police are trying to identify the male pictured below for the theft of alcohol from the Fine Wine and Good Spirits store at 102 N. 8th Ave. Contact Ptlm. Betancourt with information.
No Shave November update – The Lebanon City Police Department is more than halfway through November and its No Shave November campaign โ ditching razors to raise awareness for men’s health and cancer. The Lebanon City Police Department’s donations will be donated to the WellSpan Sechler Family Cancer Center.
East Hanover Township
Death natural – At 1:51 p.m. Nov. 19, police responded to Sherks Church Road for the report of a 77-year-old Grantville man in cardiac arrest. Police did not observe suspicious or criminal activity and believe the man died of natural causes. Police are investigating.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle accident – At 9:56 a.m. Nov. 19, a crash occurred on West Main Street at Prescott Road involving vehicles driven by a 56-year-old Shavertown man and an 87-year-old Newmanstown man accompanied by an 85-year-old Newmanstown woman. The Shavertown man was wearing a seatbelt and sustained no injuries. The Newmanstown man was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a possible injury, and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to Hershey Medical Center. The Newmanstown woman was wearing a seatbelt, sustained a suspected serious injury, and was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to Hershey Medical Center.
Jonestown Borough
Harassment – At 11:16 a.m. Oct. 31, police are investigating a Childline Referral of an alleged restraining of a 17-year-old Lebanon city male student on South King Street.
Myerstown Borough
Firearm sale or transfer – Police received a PICS check denial investigation at 10:59 a.m. Aug. 3 on East Main Avenue. The arrestee was a 39-year-old Lebanon man. Police are investigating.
North Londonderry Township
Harassment – Police filed a non-traffic citation of harassment against a 44-year-old Lebanon woman for her involvement in an incident regarding keys in the Walmart parking lot at 3:57 p.m. Nov. 9.
Vehicle accident – At 11:02 a.m. Nov. 17, a vehicle driven by a 70-year-old Palmyra woman was struck by a vehicle driven by an 80-year-old Palmyra woman. The 70-year-old sustained a minor injury but refused EMS. Police charged the 70-year-old with a stop and yield sign violation. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The Palmyra Fire Department and Fire Police assisted on the scene.
Vehicle accident – At 11:51 a.m. Nov. 21, a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Annville man failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old Annville man in the area of Plaza Drive and Maple Street. No injuries were reported. Police charged the 25-year-old with a stop sign violation.
South Lebanon Township
DUI, drug possession – Around 1:27 p.m. Oct. 10, police pulled over a vehicle driven by Melvin Sadler, 37, on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street. Police arrested Sadler for misdemeanor DUI-controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, summary driving while suspended, and summary operating a vehicle without valid inspection.
Drug possession, warrant served – Around 6:14 p.m. Nov. 16, police stopped a vehicle driven by Daniel Spatz, 23, on the 500 block of East Cumberland Street. During the stop, police discovered that Spatz had an active bench warrant, took him into custody, and found him to be in possession of marijuana. Police charged Spatz with possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Driving while suspended – At 11:19 a.m. Nov. 11, police pulled over a vehicle driven by Joshua Jimenez, 31, of Shamokin, on the 700 block of East Walnut Street and charged Jimenez with multiple offenses, including misdemeanor driving while suspended (DUI-related, third or subsequent offense), summary possession of a counterfeit inspection sticker, summary failure to maintain required financial responsibility, and summary unauthorized transfer of registration.
Drug possession – On Nov. 19, police responded to a suspicious vehicle report on the 1800 block of Birch Road, discovered that Enjel Lantigua-Rodriguez, 19, was in possession of drug paraphernalia, and charged him with a misdemeanor offense.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle accident – At 9:04 a.m. Nov. 16, a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Annville woman was traveling north on Elizabethtown Road when it struck a deer, causing airbag deployment. The woman sustained a minor injury. Lawn Volunteer Fire Department and First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon assisted on the scene.
Found property – At 3:45 p.m. Nov. 14, police found two drills on Northside Drive at Springbrook Drive. If you lost these items, please contact South Londonderry Township police at 717-838-1376.
Vehicle fire – At 11:14 p.m. Nov. 12, a Ford Mustang driven by a 21-year-old Palmyra man caught fire while it was traveling on Brookwood Drive. The man was not injured. The Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company assisted on the scene.
Palmyra Ice Hockey Club ‘Sticks and Biscuits’ 5K Run – Once again this year, the Palmyra Ice Hockey Club will be sponsoring its ‘Sticks and Biscuits’ 5K Run on Thanksgiving day. The event will be held on roads in and around the Flight Path Sports Park. Traffic will be restricted to local residents only on Airport Road from around 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Please use alternate routes during that time frame. South Londonderry Police and Lebanon County Auxiliary Police will be directing traffic in the area.
Swatara Township
Vehicle accident – At 4:21 p.m. Nov. 16, a 2015 Nissan Rogue driven by a 17-year-old Schuylkill Haven girl accompanied by a 16-year-old Pine Grove girl was traveling east on SR 22. The driver attempted to pass another vehicle when she lost control of her vehicle, striking a guide rail on the right shoulder. Both girls were wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries.
Union Township
Simple trespass – At 10:07 a.m. Nov. 18, there was a reported sighting of an unknown man, wearing all-white and a white beanie, walking on a property on the 00 block of Huckleberry Road. Neighbors in the area could not identify the man and reported not having seen him before. Police advised the residents to keep a lookout, lock their house and vehicle doors, and advise PSP Jonestown of further occurrences. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown.
Western Lebanon County Regional Police
Simple assault, harassment – At 7:32 a.m. Nov. 16, police responded to a non-active domestic at Rite-Aid, 980 E. Main St., Palmyra. Police determined that the domestic had started at the Dutch Motel, 500 E. Main St., Palmyra. During the course of the domestic, Joseph Jones, 46, allegedly struck the other person, leaving bruises. City police picked up Jones in Lebanon and took him to LCCB to await arraignment. Police charged Jones with misdemeanor simple assault-domestic violence and summary harassment.
Public drunkenness – Around 5:23 a.m. Nov. 9, police observed a man who appeared to be staggering as he traveled east on the 700 block of East Main Street, Annville. Police made contact with the 32-year-old man and determined that he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, which he confirmed. Police also determined that the man smelled of marijuana. Police charged him with summary public drunkenness.
Simple assault, harassment – Around 12:25 p.m. Nov. 20, police responded to the 200 block of West Cherry Street, Palmyra, for a report of a physical altercation between Lance Barbush, 47, and another male. Police charged Barbush with simple assault and harassment.
Public drunkenness – At 2:07 p.m. Nov. 5, police responded to Sheetz, 811 E. Main St., Palmyra, for a report of a drunk man. Police made contact with a 48-year-old man and found him to be manifestly under the influence of alcohol. Police filed a citation with MDJ Warner’s office the next day, charging the man with summary public drunkenness.
