A Cleona man was arrested after he trespassed on school property with a knife.
According to a report from Cleona Borough police, officers were dispatched to the area of South Center Street at around 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, for a suspicious person. The caller reported an individual walking in the street displaying a knife, the release said.
Police Chief Jeffrey Farneski and Officer John Maldonando, school resource officer for the Annville-Cleona School District, responded to the scene. According to the report, “the subject was argumentative and refused to provide identification. He was arrested after he trespassed on Cleona Elementary School property.”
The subject was identified as 19-year-old Isaiah Williamson, of East Pine Street, Cleona. The release said a folding knife was found in Williamson’s jacket pocket.
Maldonado charged Williamson with criminal trespass, possession of a weapon on school property, and disorderly conduct. He was taken to Lebanon County Jail pending arraignment.
The school district “cooperated fully” with the investigation, the release said. Police noted that Williamson “never made threats towards the staff or students.”
