LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
Our Pet of the Week sometimes is a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the weekly column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Magenta!
Magenta is a beautiful pitbull mix that is estimated to be between 4 and 5 years old. According to a spokesperson at the Humane Society of Lebanon County, “she found her way to us as a stray and was never reclaimed.”
This sweet girl with “permanent puppy dog eyes” was visibly used as a breeder mama in the past, the shelter rep noted, and is looking to retire from that life by finding a loving forever home.
“Magenta is a very sweet, friendly and docile girl,” the shelter rep said. “She likes to go for the occasional chill walk, and she walks well on a leash. She is a simple girl that would just as much appreciate snuggles on the couch. She would make a great couch potato and cuddle companion. … She loves treats, but loves being shown human affection even more!”
Magenta would do well in a household with children and would make a great family dog, the shelter rep added. “Canine siblings would depend upon a meet and greet.”
If you are interested in adopting Magenta, please fill out the adoption application online at lebanonhumane.org or call the Humane Society at 717-628-1369 for more information.
